Sounds like something electrical is getting wet. in your shop , or driveway , start quad and run up till it's warm. Then take a spray bottle and spray all electrical connections starting from the bottom and work your way to the top. theres lots of connections on these quads. It's going to take some tome unless you get it to duplicate what it does on the trail. When you find the culprit use Dielectric silicone to water proof the connectors . Good luck . thats about the only way to go about this reapair , it takes patiance and time
Hi Matt only help I can give is look along top & bottom of chain for a tensioner it will be a round rubber wheel. If you cant find a tensioner it will more than likely you need to cut the chain down. If your not sure how to let me know & i'll let you know how. Also DO NOT USE IT while chain is loose as if you do & chain comes off you can crack engine case which then means a new engine
