The oil pump slows down or speeds up with engine rpms. If your concerned about oil pressure, hopefully, you could use an analog pressure gage in place of the oil pressure sending unit to double check oil pressure.
There is only one wire to the oil pressure switch, Gray with yellow stripe. it is an input to the PCM powertrain control module ! The PCM then sends signal to the instrument cluster via serial data bus communications Serial Data Bus

remove the oil sending unit and install a oil pressure gauge. You did not specify the motor so you can find it by the oil filter.remove the oil sending unit and install the gauge.Let the motor get to operating temperature and check pressure.Should be @ idle over 5 psi.5 is minimum.@ 3000 rpm should be 45-105.Hope this helps.Good luck.
it could be the oil pump getting weak. if the oil pressure is under 20 psi on the dash then it could be and be causing damage to internal parts. but if it goes away when it warms up then you may have a sticky lifter.
sounds like you have a bad connection to the oil pressure sending unit or the sending unit itself is bad. look for a loose connection and if it's ok just replace the sending unit.
