Loss of picture

We experienced a power outage at the house, after which the TV has a blue screen for all the inputs. Audio can be heard. This happened once before, a repairman came out and "reset" something and it was fine. Anyone know what was reset and how to do it?

Fixed this problem today.. Go to Menu > Setup > AV Connections (Select Home Theater) > "Locked to Input 1", select "No" or "Off". Voila!

Had a power outage and now my TV is not showing any pictures except for the blue screenn

Outage may have changed the input channel on TV so make sure you're on the right one. Press and hold the Power button on cable box. Let that restart. Unplug the router for 10 seconds and let it boot up.

Hi

There are some factors of this kind of problem.

First you could have a failure in the power supply. Next could be the main board. Lastly you could have a problem with the panel itself, this would mean a new set for sure because the part cost is more than a new set.

However try troubleshooting the problem before spending money on repairing or replacing the television. Possibly you can restore the picture and sound to your television ...

Verify the TV is powered on by pressing the power button on the TV's remote or the front panel of the set. This may seem like an obvious step, but many TVs are equipped with a standby light that will illuminate if the TV is turned off, making it appear that the TV is on when it is not.Cycle through the TV's video inputs to verify that your TV is set to the right one. For instance, if you are attempting to use a digital cable converter box that is plugged into the Video 1 input and the TV is set to a Video 2 input that has nothing plugged into it, the TV will not display any picture or sound and may even say "No signal" on the screen. To cycle through the inputs, use the input selection button, typically labeled "input," "source," "TV/video" or the like.

Re-seat the video and audio input connections to verify a loose cable is not causing the TV's loss of signal. If you have a coaxial cable connected from your wall cable jack directly into the TV, it may have come loose thereby eliminating all picture and sound on the TV. Locate the connection cable or cables of whatever device you are attempting to watch and unplug them from where they plug into the TV. Plug them back in and check for a signal. If there is still no picture or sound at this point, the best option is to contact technical support for further assistance.

Lost channels due to power outage channels were cable. screen is blue for channels we want but on top of screen will give channel# we lost channels 16 & uo.

do you have set top box or basic rescan the channels if its a box call your service provider and since its cable depending on the provider and what type of housing you have it would most likely be the connection out side coming into the house may have a short and will cause channel loss would suggest making them fix it make sure it is not only that tv first also

Can not see the Video when I input it, see only a blue screen.

ok hook up the audio video in the OUTPUT on vcr and INPUT on the tv then make sure tv is changed to the right input channel now go to vcr and change that channel to AV,.if AV isnt there you may have to go into menu of vcr and do a channel search, but when you change it to AV on vcr you should see the picture
