Tried to install java 'jre' before installation can complete I receive the following 'internal error 2502' even though in my add programmes/remove programmes actually shows that java is installed,I am unable to play my online games due to this,laymens terms only please tyvm

Hi,
this is a known problem in windows.
The problem occurs when some process tries to execute the instructions which need admin credentials.

Right click on the JRE installation file, select "Run as" and provide details for Administrator (u might be the admin so provide yours, m assuming that you are administrator) and follow the installation procedure.

This should work.

Remove old Java and Install new Java

to remove java you must go into control panel and find either add/remove programs or uninstall programs. then click remove or uninstall on all Java platforms that show up in the list of programs. JRe is also Java, don't forget those. then goto Java.com to install the latest version.

Java runtime enviroment

Please try Re-installing Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in your system. Please Uninstall you JRE if it is installed already and reinstall. Also Unblock Frostwire from Windows Firewall. Please find below the steps to unblock frostwire:
  1. Click "Start."
  2. Type Windows Firewall and click on the "Windows Firewall" in the search result.
  3. Click on the "Allow a program" option on the left-side of the Windows Firewall window.
  4. Click the "Change Settings" button.
  5. Click the "Allow another program" button.
  6. Select "FrostWire" from the list of programs.
  7. Click "Add" to unblock FrostWire from the Windows Firewall.
If these two steps does not work, uninstall and re-install frostwire!

Unable to access jarfile lib\MP3Rocket.jar

the error refers to a missing mp3rocket.jar file within the installation of mp3 rocket. i.e. C:\program files\mp3 rocket\lib. solution is: uninstall mp3 rocket and uninstall all versions of java and JRE from add and remove programs(XP) then restart. install a new version mp3 rocket and you will be prompted to download java again. once installed MP3 Rocket.exe should be restored

Java says fatal error when i try to install on computer. i tried to copy it from external drive on to computer.

I would go to control panel, then "add or remove software". Find Java and then completely remove it. Then go to www.sun.com and redownload the java software and install it again.

Error: 25099 during Java installation This article applies to:
  • Platform(s): Windows 2000 , Windows XP , Vista , Windows 2003
  • Browser(s): All Browsers
  • Java version(s): 6.0 , 6u10+
SYMPTOMS

While Java installation is in progress, a message box with the following error is displayed:

Error 25099. Unzipping core files failed.

CAUSE

The actual root cause of this issue is still under investigation. Error 25099 indicates that the Java installation process has failed.

WORKAROUND

Step 1 : Completely delete content of the following directory: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\ (or alternate directory if you chose a non-default install location)

Step 2 : If Step 1 has permission issues due to files being locked or in use, restart your system

Step 3 : Now, completely delete content of the following directory: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\

Step 4 : Download and install Java.
  1. Go to Java.com
  2. Click on the Free Java Download button, and start the installation process.

Java jre installation not complete

Hi There,

As i understand you receive an error when you run the installed program.

Please uninstall the complete downloaded software and reboot the PC. Then download the latest Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7) to run all Java programs from the link given below,
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Once you have installed the Java JRE, again install the program and test if it works.

It will work!!
