THE WATER COMING INTO THE WASHER SEEMS TO BE OBSTRUCTED.

A FEW MONTHS AGO, THE WASH BASIN FILLED UP QUICKLY. NOW, THE WATER SEEMS TO BE OBSTRUCTED AND ''DRIPS'' INTO THE TUB.
THE WATER COMING OUT OF THE HOSES IS FINE.
I HAVE DISCONNTED THE HOSES. HOW CAN I GET TO THE INTAKE SCREEN, IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM?

  • steellmt Mar 13, 2009

hesitant to force out screens. have read that they can be popped out, and that they cannot. mine do not appear to pop out easily. with intense light, the screens still appear clean. i think the buildup is inside/ past the screens.looking to replace inlet valve. i just need to find easiest access, remove control panel?

Once hose is off water valve take a small flat head screw driver and pull screens out.you will see if they are clogged once they are out.

what brand is your washer and i will tell you how to get to it and remove it.

  • Anonymous Mar 13, 2009

take the 2 screws out of the face of machine one on each side, lift face up,you will unplug lidswitch from cabinet and you will see 2 gold clamps on each side.take screw driver(flat head)and pop out gold clamps.your cabinet to the machine will come off then.you just pull forward and lift up and it will come off.you will see water valve on back right side.take screws out of water valve and take hose on inside of machine off that is connected to bottom of water valve and your wires to the valve and it is done.good luck and if you run across anything that doesnt look right then write back and i will walk you thru it.

Be sure there is power is coming from wall outlet and be sure breaker hasn't tripped. Also if there is a loose connection where cord was installed to unit, there may be a burnt wire.

Daewoo washer DWF 800WPS water drains before wash

Make sure the drain hose is about 1 metre high from ground. If drain hose is lower the water will keep draining.

Upper tray does not wash clean, bottom does

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

I have an kenmore elite "ultra wash" model 665. not sure the rest.. about 7/8 years old, making loud buzzing sound during wash cycles, starts about 5 minutes into the normal wash cycle. i removed the inlet...

I have the same problem as those who stated their dishes are not getting clean. If you listen to the wash cycle you should hear water sloshing around inside. If you hear just a humming sound the washer has no water. I have this problem. I had a tech come and he told me the water is syphoning out my drain and I need to change my plumbing, then he charged me $65. I have lived in this house for ten years. 6 with the washer that came with house and 4 with this Kenmore Elite. This problem started about 6 months ago. So what I have been doing is opening the door, after the humming starts and the sloshing stops, and adding about 2 L of water. It seems to wash just fine after that.

Washing machine doesn't respond to the low, medium or high water settings and keeps filling. Spin and drain cycle works. Won't stop filling and doesn't go into the wash cycle.

My GE WSM2780DAWW stack set dryer and washer was encountering the same problem (water kept filling up not stopping). I saw this page, but the SOLUTION described didn't really draw a picture for me.

Here's how I fixed the leaking washer. Sitting in front of the washer I removed two small screws on the bottom left and right of the front panel. Then sliding the front panel DOWN, it comes off. This allows a view into the machine. Around the LEFT side of the wash basin you will find a white tube. This tube is about the diameter of a pencil. My tube was not attached, and when the wash basin filled up past the point where it should stop, water came out. Reaching around the side of the wash basin with my left hand I could feel where the white tube was supposed to connect properly. Then I attached the white tube. This fixed the problem.

I left the front panel off for a day to make sure it didn't continue to leak and also for the area to dry out.
