Hi if you have the ps3 with the model # cechh01 or cechk01 or cechl01 this happen a lot you need to install the new update in a usb memory card and follow the instructions on the ps3 go to sony for instructions on how to download the update in a removable usb if you have the older models you need to format the hard drive or install another one and format the old drive in another ps3 and this can fix your problem

The hard disk's file system is corrupted and will be restored. I clicked ok to restore system, but system cycles and repeats itself

More than likely the hard drive has bad sectors, that's why it's looping.

Just swap the drive out with ANY 2.5 inch SATA laptop hard drive. They sell 250gb drives from Best Buy for around $50.

Just swap, turn the console back on, and follow the instructions displayed by the PS3 ;)

Hard disk's file system is corrupted.

Most likely your hard drive is completely corrupted. It could be as simple as a new Hard Drive replacement or as complicated as a motherboard issue.

My PS3's hard disk file system is corrupted

There is an alternate way to restore your HDD. Turn off your system and when u see the red light, hold the power button in front until you hear a total of 4 beeps (1 alone, 1 alone, 2 together). It usually works on second try. it should show a screen and say hook up controller with a usb cord. Then it should show i think 6 options. Choose the restore option. it should work.

Hope it works and wish you all the best!
P.S.- I just got the 80010514 error on my ps3 and my ps3 games dont work anymore :(

Data Corruption

Just keep clicking "OK". I think it's restoring each of your save files one by one. I've had the same problem recently, but after a while it will just start up again with all your wonderful data restored to its former glory.
