Sounds like a restricted vent system either internally in dryer, linked vent behind dryer, or obstruction in vent going out of house. Also could be blower wheel stripped out and not blowing much air.
Check your vent and the vent hose. At least once our dryer wouldn't dry anything when the cover flap on the vent was dislodged and couldn't swivel open. Also check if the dryer is getting warm. If the thermostat isn't working (any dryer) or the burner has failed, you could see this problem.
If you have kids and they over fill the dryer it strains all systems including the heater because it cannot get rid of excess heat. Solution*** Possibly needs a new belt
If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.
Make sure the lint trap in the door is clean. It has a plastic cover that opens. Disconnect the venting at the rear and run a load, if it works you have a restriction in the hose after the dryer or in the wall past the hose.
Could be 2 things... either your heat source is out of repair or your vent is blocked. Since you say it only gets warm I'll assume the problem is with the gas coils inside the unit. These parts are replaceable
Like every maytag dryer I have ever fixed you probably have a big old ball of lint in the filter housing. You also might have a loose blower wheel. Very common problem in these machines. To access the machine read more...
