My heater does not work on my riverbath quadrangle by kohler. If I turn off the power it will work for one or two cycles then no longer until I turn off power again. I have replaced Heater, and computers the motors sit on. Kohler is no help. Any ideas?

Thanks

Rheen PVW50 Hot Water Heater Making Buzzing Noise and Doesn't Light

Why is it always Rheem problems?
Every water heater problem is Rheem.
And Rheem doesn't post any service manuals, like the other two big manufacturers, AO Smith-American, and Bradford White.

We have a ge electric water heater - last night we set a new jug of detergent on top of it over the electric plate on the top of the unit - it had a hole ( small leak) in the bottom - it leaked all night...

You flooded water heater wiring compartment with detergent, and the wires were shorting so you turned off power and cleaned detergent. Now water heater doesn't work.

1) The heat from shorting might have tripped ECO reset button.
Open top cover on water heater, and push in red reset ECO button.

Be sure to re-install insulation and cover.

Other steps:
2) Turn off power. Remove wire nuts. Cut off copper ends of wire, and re-strip each wire so fresh copper shows. Make sure no detergent is on the copper. Use new wire nuts and twist very tight against copper wire.
3) Cut back burned ground wire. Remove ground screw and clean thoroughly. And then reattach clean copper to ground screw.
4) Turn power back on.

5) If water heater still does not work, then test across top two screws on upper thermostat for correct voltage.

I have a 1991 40 gl and it fell through the floor which is like 2 ft off the ground. turned the water off and replaced the pipes it has its own lever type power supply with the screw in fuses 30 amp (2) of...

You have 2 problems with several possible causes:
You have 10-year-old electric water heater that was reinstalled after falling down, and doesn't heat the water.
And you have no hot or cold water pressure, and no pipes are leaking.

1) First problem is lack of water pressure throughout house.
Turn on outdoor spigot nearest to water meter.
This spigot will tell you if problem is inside the house or between the house and meter.
If spigot runs full force, then you probably have clogged pipe where water heater connects to main cold line, or the main shut off valve got clogged with sediment that broke off inside the pipe when you were working on water heater.
Open and close shut off valve to see if that helps. Then disassemble pipes and track back the problem. Put pressure gauge on water heater drain valve to watch pressure drop when turning on indoor faucet.
Read following information:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Low-hot-water-pressure.html

Water heater doesn't work:
Test across wires at top of heater to see if you are getting correct voltage:
If tank is receiving correct voltage, then no hot water puts suspicion on upper element or upper thermostat, or both.

Can I add a inline heater to a Kohler whirlpool 1164?

In looking at the spec sheet for this model, it appears that a heater is already installed at the factory. See this link:
http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?item=9737602&prod_num=1164-H&module=Bathing&frm=null

If the whirlpool isn't heating, the power to the heater, thermostat, and the heater itself should be checked.

When we press the "on" switch in or Kohler whirlpool tub it trips the wall switch. I changed the wall plug and it still trips when trying to turn it on. It has always worked fine. Any suggestions..

Remove the GFCI WALL OUTLET and try connecting those wires together blk/blk..wht 2 wht...ground to ground and then see if tub will stay on, if not suggest put back together and call qulified whirl pool tech to find short in pump motor.
