Lock it down! No matter if your new bike rack is a hitch mount or roof mount, always get a lock for your rack. The boldest bicycle bandits and parking lot purloiners are not easily discouraged, and simply locking your gear to an unlocked rack is an invitation to take everything-rack and all.

HOW DO YOU PUT THE BIKE IN THE STAND?

Do you mean a bike stand, that you lock it to? If so, simply follow these steps and you'll be ready to go in no time!

1. Get bike to rack
2. Get off bike
3. Stick wheel through gap in metal bars of stand.
4. Lock bike to rack, passing the lock THROUGH the frame of the bike, not just a wheel.
5. Grab your keys and head inside, your done!

Does the Bell Locking Three-Bike Rack work for crossovers such as the Mazda CX-7?

Probably. It's pretty versatile. The manual and this picture show it on the rear of an suv.

example:

http://biketrunkrack.com/bell-triple-back-locking-3-bike-trunk-mount-rack/

I contacted Bell Sports and complained about the lack of downloadable manuals. They said they are in the process of developing the website which will provide them.

http://www.bellbikestuff.com/

It has some basic stuff about helmets and tire changing right now. Stay tuned and check it once in a while.

In the meantime, they sent me the manual for the Doubleback/Tripleback Car Rack in English since that was the one I used as an example.

If you post your email to this solution I will be notified and will send it to you.

How can I lock this to my bike?

You can use a cable/lock and run it through the bike frame and then the slots on the rack (assuming it has slots which most do) when you leave it parked. If you get along enough cable then you can even use this to lock your bike as well. The only other solution is to use 1 way bolts to tighten the rack to the seatpost....however, as teh name implies be aware that these can only be removed by drilling them out. good luck

Bike rack for 940 wagon

The mount on the rain gutters...Thule, Yakima, etc. Get locking feet...worth the extra money.

I think you can also get some for hanging off the tailgate...check with the companies online or in a local dealer.
