Vacuum got caught on bedframe and disengaged the handle from the bottom portion (brush housing), Cannot get it to click into upright position and it will not create enough suction to pick anything up. Don't know if something broke or what is required to bring to upright position. Please advise. Thank you.

Check the adapters at the bottom. They're supposed to move cleanly when you lower the handle. It's pretty obvious if there's an air gap when you lower the handle, and you should hear the suction in the air gap.
And...call Dyson...their support is great!

I had the same issue and solved it easily. My experience is the same as the March 6th response/ When you push your foot onto the base and then recline the handle, use your toe to gently push the very front of the base down closer to the carpet. This creates a much stronger seal and suction and picks up every bit of dirt easily. If i do not do this extra step the suction is much much less. I tried an experiment with sand that I poured onto my carpet. Initially, I went over the sand 4 times and the dyson 07 would only pick up 50 percent of the sand. I then poured more sand onto the carpet, and this time pushed the front lip down so it was contacting the carpet. This time only two passes were needed to completely **** up all the sand. Not sure why this is not in the manual but it really works. Good Luck!

you need a new belt and maybe a new brushbar.

Yes I had the same problem on my animal Dysom. There is a button on the top of the dysom that turns the cacuum on. Right beside that button is another one that turns on and off the brush!!! Good luck!!! I accidently one day bumped that button and couldn't get my brush to work but after troubleshooting it, that was my solution.

Check the HEPA filter if it has one. This bit of foam gets clogged over time and significantly reduces the suction especially if you've been vacuuming a lot of very dusty areas i.e. dust from building work etc. Just wash the filter with lots of water and leave to dry before reinserting.
