How do I connect my digihome 37723HD Tv with my laptop?

I've got a scart to vga cable and trying to connect my tv (digihome 37723HD digital) to my laptop (dell 1525 vista). Can't make it work and have lost my tv manual so not sure if I need to change anything on my tv or if it is all down to my computer settings and drivers. I've tried exending my desk top etc, but my tv does not recognise my computer... Please help!

    Hi Thellana!

Since you connect the laptop to your tv via the vga port you need to tell your laptop to send the signal out via that vga port to the tv.

Those setting you do by rightclicking anywere on your desttop, then select the graphics or the graphic card settings. On my laptop i have nvidias settings, look for the screensettings, you will see two scheens in those settings. Screen one is the screen on your laptop, screen two is the screen the vga cable is connected to. Activate screen two. Now the signal will pass the vga port so you will be able to see it on your tv.

    Good luck

    Nic

Hi Anna!

Well, you can try to connect via the S-video port.
Here is the manual how to connect your laptop to a tv:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xlob/dtg/en/en_dtg.pdf

Take a look at page 215. There you can follow step by step how ro connect via the vga port or the S-video port. I think you will fix the problem now:)

Good luck
Nic

The TV should have VGA input socket to connect with. if have; you can connect the TV with the computer, using a VGA to VGA cable.
VGA input socket.

Laptop to old crt TV connection problems

Try going to your computer's display settings and setting up a second screen. There should be 2 pictures of screens. One with a 1 and one with a 2 on them. You can adjust these so that the TV mirrors your computer's screen or sets the TV as a continuation or makes the TV act as your monitor.

Video Not Supported

You would be better trying to connect from the laptop VGA to the TV Scart. But you will still need to set your laptop up to output a screen resolution that the TV can display.

I have a inspiron1300,and i wondered if it is possibe to connect it to my philips hdready tv.am sure which cable to use

You never mentioned what model Philips TV you have, however I've researched several and most seem to have a VGA video port in the back of them. If you have one of these (15 pin D connector) on the back of your TV you should be able to purchase a corresponding VGA cable (you'll want female pins on one side of the cable and male pins on the other side) and plug one side into the VGA port on your laptop and the other cable into the TV. Then use your TV remote to select that input. Should work fine!
See item 8 in the attached user guide link to see what I'm talking about. http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/4/42pfl3403_98/42pfl3403_98_qsg_eng.pdf
I hope this response helps you out.

I have a Digihome DV940B freeview receiver, and wish to set it up with a tv and video how and where do I put the areal and scart leads

This depends on how you want to use your kit, and how many scart plugs you have in your TV and VCR.
If you have 2 scarts in your tv;
Aerial coax goes to digihome aerial in. Aerial out from digihome to aerial in of vcr. Tune vcr into Digihome.
Scart plug from digihome to tv.
Scart plug from vcr to tv.
You can then record what you have selected on your digihome box.
In my humble opinion, it's worth splashing out on a pvr; you have more functionality such as being able to record 1 program and watch another.

Problems with Lenovo 3000N200 0769-EAG tv-out

My friend, the easiest and by far the best way I have seen is to set the advance timings on your laptop just right and use a vga to scart cable.

Restart your Laptop to recognize again your TV on the system.

Connection to Tv-monitor from a VCR

Yes. You need a

scart to VGA cable

or a

Scart to HDMI Cable.

The second one is more expensive but has a better quality picture. Your tv should have these two ports. The 'scart' goes into the back of the video and the VGA / HDMI goes into the TV. They can be purchased at any of the sites i have listed below.

Connecting Laptop to LCD

It might have something to do with wether the VGA cable has all pins connected.
I think some cables don't have all 15-pins wired.
As soon my LCD TV works I will post the outcome.
