I need a new wheel for my quinny freestyle, it keeps going flat and now i have a thorn in it. i need it asap

Most strollers use the same tires and tubes as kiddy bikes. 10" or 12" your local bike shop could help. I buy spare tubes and tires from Kmart.

I BOUGHT A LIBERTY JEEP TERRAIN JOGGER STROLLER ABOUT 3 DAYS AGO, TOOK IT ON A TEST TO SIX FLAGS AND HAD A FLAT. HOW DO I FIX THE FLAX. DID NOT SEE WHERE I CAN PUT AIR IN IT. PLEASE HELP!

  • There is a place to add air on the inside of the wheel (rim) of the tire. The problem would be will it hold air.
  • First get a tire pressure gauge and check the air in one of the two good tires to get a good pressure on it.
  • I must caution that if you use a compressor to air it up you will blow the tire in about two seconds. So use a standard foot bike tire pump. It airs up on the little valve stem sticking out from the inside of the wheel (see diagram)
  • Should the tire not hold air then you will patch it just like a standard bike tire. Follow these steps.
  1. First put some air in the tire.
  2. Now get some soapy water and splash it liberal on the tire in and note where the air is leaking from.
  3. Put your thumb on the leak and mark the hole clearly with some chalk. Drawing a small circle around the leak works best.
  4. First the nut on the bolt on the side of the wheel has a lock pin that needs to come out. Straiten it with a pair of pliers and then pull it out.
  5. Now remove the nut with a wrench or socket.
  6. now pull the bolt out.
  7. Now the wheel will come out of the fork. Mind the placement of the washers as they need to go back where they are upon reassemble.
  8. Now let all the air out of the tire by pushing on the end of the valve stem and pressing on the tire.
  9. Now take a flat screwdriver and gently wedge it between the wheel and tire and walk the tire off the rim.
  10. Now do the same withe the remaining side until the tire is off the wheel completely.
  11. Now use a standard tire patch and repair the leak.
  12. Now reverse to get the tire back on the wheel and the wheel back on the stroller.
  13. Air tire to proper pressure.
  14. Job complete.
  15. I have also included a picture of where to fill the tire from.

The back rear tires will not keep air in them. How do I fix them or do I need to replace them? (Baby Trend Jogging Stroller)

More than likely there's a leak, maybe small but enough to cause a flat.

As for tubes your local bike shop may carry the 12" or the 16" depending on the stroller make and model. Check the side of the tire to see if you can identify the size, if not the stroller manufacturer or the site should give you more information.

The tires with these jogging strollers come off fairly easily with any regular bicycle tire levers. Although it's possible to take them off by hand, if it's difficult any bicycle shop would carry standard bicycle tire levers. I personally recommend the life time warranty tire levers by Pedro. They are very strong and designed to take off some of the beefiest mountain bike tires.

It would also be good to have spare tubes. You can find bulk tire tubes on eBay for cheap!

One of the back tires on my baby trend columbia stroller is flat. I cant find a hole anywhere. It seems like it may be a problem around the thing that you put air in....any suggestions??

If you pump the tire again with enough air and put your ear against the tire you may be able to hear the air escaping.

If it's a slow leak you may not be able to hear it but any bicycle tire levers will allow you to take off the tire. More than likely you pinched the tube or punctured with a sharp object in use.

I usually recommend replacing the tube completely, the cost & ease of replacing the tube is better than using the patches which I find it a headache to deal with smaller wheels especially for any jogging strollers.

Flat tire--not fixable--is bubbling

I advise you try the shop where it came from for a replacement tube for it.

Failing that, 'phone the manufacturer to have one sent out.
