Add ram Satellite u845

Power down your Toshiba Satellite.

Unplug it from the wall.

Turn the machine over and remove the battery.

Locate the RAM compartment cover, which is usually located somewhere in the middle of the underside, and is about 4-by-4 inches.

Unscrew the RAM cover screw with a Phillips screwdriver and set aside.

Ground yourself by touching a metal object.

This will release any static electricity built up in your body, which can harm computer chips and components.

You can also use an anti-static wristband while you are working.

Remove RAM modules if needed.

This is most likely if you are upgrading the present RAM capacity with a larger RAM chip.

Press your fingers on the clips on either side of the chip to pop it out of the socket.

Pull the chip out of the RAM compartment, holding it by the sides of the circuit board rather than on the chip.

Insert the new RAM module into the socket. Align the RAM module so that the notch lines up with the tab on the side of the socket.

Gently lower the module into the socket. Press into place with your fingers.

Replace the RAM compartment cover. Insert the screw and tighten.

Replace the battery and secure with the lock.

Plug the Toshiba Satellite laptop back in and power up the system.

The upgraded RAM should be automatically recognized.

hope this helps

How do i reset the BIOS password on my toshiba satellite 135A

I'm assuming you mean A135. On the Toshiba Satellite A135 series ther is a couple of contacts you have to short with either a small screw driver or something else metal located under the RAM modules on the bottom of the laptop. Pull the RAM modules out and peel back the plastic sticker under where the modules were. you will see what looks like the letter "E" interlocked with a couple of letter "T"s. Put the upper RAM module back in and cross the "E" and the "T"s with something metal and press the power button while you do that. This should reset your BIOS.

Can't install HP officejet 5510 softsoft for Toshiba Satelline L300

Hello there:
Alot of times the security setting of the computer will not let you download certain items like printers so the best way to get around this is to boot he machine into the safe mode with networking and use the administrator selection then go back to the web and download it from there.
See in the safe mode under the admin side the security settings are all bypassed allowing you to download what you need.
Also on this printer i highly suggest downloading the full suit that is offered for the printer
It is a large download but has great options that the standard download does not offer ok
I hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards MIke

Satalite m35x-s161 how to replace the keyboard?

Toshiba Satellite How to remove keyboard and upgrade memory modules. This post was written by cj2600 on April 28, 2006
Posted Under: Toshiba Satellite A20/A25 --> toshiba-satellite-a20-a25-memory.jpgRemoving and replacing memory on a Toshiba Satellite A20 or A25 notebook is not as easy ad it should be. Both memory modules are located under the keyboard. A laptop keyboard has to be replaced in order to get access to the memory modules. Before you remove the keyboard do not forget to remove the laptop battery or you can damage the laptop. Be careful when you remove the keyboard securing strip; do not bend it too much. To remove the memory module from the slot on the system board, release the latches on both sides and the memory module will pop up. It will stay at a 30 degree angle to the system board. Firmly grasp the memory module and remove it from the slot.

Wheres the ram?

RAM modules must be installed in special locations on the motherboard called Sockets. These memory sockets are what hold the RAM module in place and can range from 1 to 16 or more. Banks consist of a group of 1 or more sockets. A system can have 1 or more of these banks of sockets. If a system has more than 1 socket in a bank, a Kit must be purchased for that bank. A kit is simply more than one, usually 2 or 4, like RAM modules. All sockets in a bank must be filled. Typically you will see 2x512MB or 2x256MB signifying you get 2 units of 512MB RAM modules or 2 units of 256MB RAM modules, respectively.
The Toshiba Satellite A40-S270 has 2 bank(s) which have 1 socket(s) in each bank for a total of 2 memory socket(s). This means the Satellite A40-S270 can support up to 2 individual RAM modules.
Below is a visual representation of the memory bank(s) and socket(s) configuration for the Toshiba Satellite A40-S270.
socket_1.gifsocket_1.gif This graphical representation above details what the memory configuration would look like with the maximum memory installed and does not necessarily model your system memory configuration. This graphical representation is not drawn to scale and should only be used as a general reference. Please consult your system’s user manual for your actual memory configuration.
