What is the parts number for the bobbin case plastic cover?

Took mine out of storage to sew a project. The small plastic cover for the bobbin case that slides into the metal case is missing. What is the parts number and where can I get a replacement? (FAST)

SOURCE: Bobbin Case

ok Sim this is a bit tricky but not to tricky first turn the handwheel toward you until the hook is at one o clock postion then slide the case without the bobbin in into the hook area you may have to work the handwheel back and forth alittle but it should slide in just remember that the case should ride in the rim. also take the needle out first that way you wont get stuck trust me it happiens.

How do I change the bobbin in a Janome sewing machine?

There is a small plastic plate where the needle goes down through the foot, remove this cover and you will see the bobbin. Remove the bobbin and refill or selecting another bobbin turn it so that when you pull the thread the bobbin turns anti-clock-wise, slip the bobbin into the black plastic casing, pulling the thread towards the small red arrow at the bottom of the casing, slip the thread between break in the silver metal sleeve pulling it to your left between the 2 pieces of metal this is where the tension on the thread is. You have now changed your bobbin. With the plastic plate still off, hold the top thread with your left hand and with your right slowly turn the wheel, this will send the needle (holding your top thread) down into the bobbin casing and will pick up the bottom thread, pull on the top thread and bring the bottom thread up through the hole in the plate. Replace the plastic plate and recommence sewing. Good luck

Hand wheel doesn't turning, the bobbin case is blocked

You have what is called a thread lock. Turning hand wheel backwards and may release it if not remove bobbin case from shuttle, release shuttle arms, pull off race cover and remove thread then re assemble, problem should be solved. You may refer to you instruction book as it will explain the procedure.

Bobbin winder belt melted

Mine stopped working too. Gave up and wound bobbins by hand for a while until I broke down and took the machine apart -- an ordeal to figure out. I found that a pliable ring on the winder was completely disintegrated (gummy plastic-like stuff). An online search found this -- a bobbin "tire" which I THINK is the part I need: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbin-winder-tire-brother-x55238051.aspx. Hope this helps. --Also cleaned all the lint out when I had the machine opened up. They don't make it EASY!

Where are the oil holes in a pfaff 1222e sewing machine

There are no oil holes in a 1222e. I apply a light oil to the inside of the bobbin case and where you clip the bobbin in the machine. I also take off the top and drop a light oil on the moving shaft. I was told no other lubrication was needed by the owner.

Installing the hook and bobbin assembly.

The plastic bobbin case should sit on top of the raceway, it should slot in quite easily, once the bobbin case is in put the small metal clip at the top over to hold it in place.

The needle would not move up and down, it gets stuck once i start to sew,how do i get it to operate normally again?it seems to be a problem with the movement of the bobbin?

THis is very frustrating it happens to me to for some reason the bobbin casing moves out of the chamber and this prevents the machine to work futher, i can put the bobbin in and it will last long or not so long sometimes i am lucky and it doesnt happen for a couple of days.

I need help with putting my bobbin case back in my machine

Mine wasn't snapping in properly either. I took out the hook race cover and hook and put them back in. Then, the bobbin case was able to snap in. Be sure to hold it by the hinged part and have the small part that sticks out pointing up.

Sewing Machine CS-8060

I do have the very same problem! I took my bobbin case out and took a good look at it, turns out right below the plastic hook part, the plastic was cracked off (probably due to thread jamming). Turns out I need a new internal bobbin case, which range in price from $35-$50 from what I researched. I had no luck with local sewing centers on finding the part.
That may (or not) be your issue as well. Good luck, and I hope this your issue is simple fix. A little tune up after might be needed, HAPPY SEWING!! ~Kelly J~

Bobbin case keeps breaking after minimal use

Nope...it didn't work...I got the new case...and still keeps breaking needles...ready to throw the machine right out the window...3 floors up...I think they sent the wrong case...and on e-bay...another vendor wants 36.95 for a case...don't think it is worth this...only paid 150.00 for the machine at Walmart...personally...plastic parts are terrible...I still have a Singer from 1953...and it still sews like a charm...but just goes front and back...no frills...but the oldies are better!
