I'm trying to become much more environmentally friendly at home. Can anyone tell me if there's a website that sells a whole range of recyclable plastic bags ie not just for the trash?

Wooden windows are a far superior product as the insulating factor is much higher than PVC and is more environmentally friendly, the only down falls are cost and upkeep. Make sure you check on manufacturers as you want good quality ones.
I
would recommend you check out Deltec Eco.
Their aquarium chillers are designed to be environmentally friendly and
consume as little electricity as possible.
Not only are they green, but they are a smart economical choice. You can more information about this product
and how to purchase one on their website - http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/Deltec-Eco-Coolers-Prodview.html
My solution has been to smack the top of the console when I find it isn't shutting off. Not a reliable solution by any stretch. What I'm looking for is a replacement relay to avoid the cost of the whole panel ($200+). I'm a victim of the "Assembly Parts Plan." It doesn't appear that the relay has any number on it, unless it's on the side that assembles to the circuit board. For $200+ I can buy another range, which seems a bit less environmentally friendly than fixing this one!
You said, you are about to close on a new house
and the home inspection noted the oven does not work. It's an electric
Amana convection range, model # ARTC7114WW. error message on display is
F4
If you want you can try to reset the system of the rang by throwing off
the breaker for 5 minutes and then trying it to see if it reset!
But it's old and this may not work on that range!
This oven is 10 years old from 1999.
The seller must fix it or you will not buy his home!
It is a buyers market! You have the power to demand anything you want within reason, or not.
People have houses on the market for a year now and can't sell them!
Didn't your home inspector tell you that the seller can not sell the home without a working range?
In New Jersey you can only take your fridge when you sell your home and the home owner must leave a working range !
Even if you expect to replace it once you move in, the seller must give you a working range.
Tell them you want $999.00 off the final sale price because you must replace the range!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The error message
F4, is for the seller and not the buyers problem to fix or repair !
Let me know what you find.
Now that I gave you good fatherly advice!
I wish you all the best in hat ever new home you buy!

I understand.
The whole environmentally-friendly initiative represents a new type of technology, and sadly, new technology is not alway fully proven before being rushed to market.
I don't blame you for being upset, but before you rip the thing out by the wires, may I suggest you ask a maytag technician to visit the unit, just to make sure everything is working as it should? Sometimes components get jostled in shipment, or maybe a motor is running backwards, or maybe your home has low water pressure, or, or, or.
If your still not satisfied after it has been checked, then maybe it's time to find something better suited for your needs.
Hope this helps,
Kermit
