Most gascookers heve the possibility to change from LPG to natural gas.
You need to change the injectors. The holes in the injectors for LPG are smaller that the ones for natural gas.
I send you a link of Ebay where you can see what you need to look for.
Sometimes the oven can give a problem when it is gas too.
I am trying to find out the proper procedure to convert my holiday gas range to propane. The model is GAK10100. I would like to know who makes this stove and if I might get an owners manual
Yes, your gas range can be converted to propane. Your owners manual will give you step by step instructions. Since there are many different models, there are different procedures involved to convert to propane. On some models you must change the top burner orifices where other models have adjustable orifices. The oven burner has an adjustable orifice(same with broil burner if there is one). The range regulator must be adjusted to stay open all the time because your propane system has its own regulator.
All stoves in this country come from the factory with orifices designed to use natural gas. To switch over to propane, the orifices have to be changed over. Contact your propane provider and they will obtain the proper orifices for your range. They may even install them for free. good luck.
the fuel to air mixture is set incorrectlty or your pressure at the ouitlet for the gas valve is too low.
you culd play around adjusting the first part of this but for the gas valve part you have to have a manaometer to check it out correctly. then it should be set at 10"wc. Good Luck
Go on line to westing house.com and look up your model, go to the help page and ask for their assistance, gas is not something to fool around with, I suspect it is the orifice that have not been converted to propane, I had a similar problenm with the stove top burners, and the orifices needed to be changed to (converted ) to run on propane gas. Some times manufactures send the converter orfices but most of the time you have to ask for them if you are running on propane, most stoves are set up for natural gas not propane. Most of the time the store clerks don't ask you if you will be running on propane , you have to tell them and the professional who installs the unit needs to install the orifices. Please be careful! If you installed the stove your self, you need to contact a professional installer to correctly adjust these .
