I have a Brother MFC 420cn and it keep saying paper jam and there is no paper jam help please

->Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.

->To clear a paper jam near the paper tray, grip the paper and pull it firmly but gently from the printer. If you find a stack of papers jammed, grab from the middle of the stack and pull.

->For a rear jam, remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out.

->Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset.

->Try printing another document

After printing a page, 2 red light signals show and doesn't print anymore until after certainparts of the copier were opened and then closed. When the swiych in turned on again, it copies only 1 and then...

1)check properly if there is no paper jam, make sure all jams have been removed
it this doesn't work

2) Remove the paper in the paper tray and replace with papers tha do not have folded edges
Make sure you are not using a paper that cannot run smoothly through the photocopier (too light or too hard)

3) Also check if some papers are stucked under the paper tray.

Frequent jam in Lexmark E232

This can happen a lot if you're using very light weight paper.  Also, if the paper is not flat it can jam up too.  Best thing you can do is get yourself some higher quality paper and keep it in a air tight tub after you open it.
