The voices are probably coming out on one of the channels that has a bad speaker, bad wire, loose connector, or bad output. If you have the audio set to 5.1 output, change it to two-channel stereo output. The voices should return to normal.
OK, you will need to have a look in the sound menu to change the channels trough which the movie is being played. Have a look on your remote, if you cannot find it, press menu and scroll to the sound menu.
This is only a setting, so do not worry, if you cannot find it yourself, you will be able to download the manual HERE.
Go to your set up menu, navigate to speaker set up and check your sound levels to front, center, and rear channels. Adjust as needed to fit the room. My Sony has a test tone option which sends a signal (at levels selected) to each speaker to check sound level and if speaker is connected and in right place.
Check the speaker connections to the centre channel. Also sometimes the settings of the centre channel can be switched off. If the unit has a test tone system start it going and see if it sends one to the centre channel. If it ignores it then it might be switched off.
Hi guys,
just had the f61 error code on my home theatre system, now i work with samsung dvds and tv's so the background knowledge is there ( i hope), i dont know if u guys noticed the fans making a noise whenever you switched it on before the fault happened but mine were making a hell of a noise, this prompted me to have a look inside and find 2 fans both of which were very dusty, just a 10 minute clean and a 10 min reassemble and im back up and running on all channels.
Sounds to me like your center speaker is either not connected, or somehow not working. The not working part could be explained by a failed speaker or, possibly a failed amp in the unit.
