Is not receiving signals from router that is close by does it need to be replaced or is there a fix for this problem?
Is the adapter turned on? Is it getting signals from any other devices? If you need to replace it, it is a really quick and simple process.
Flip the device over and unscrew the cover over it and it will usually have 1 or 2 screws holding the card down. It will be identified by having 2 wires running to it. Unsnap the 2 wires noting how they are plugged into the card now. Take the card out and look at it for a manufacture part number. Buy a replacement card by using that number. Installation is the reverse of this process. No drivers to contend with as it will be the same card. and it will be simple plug and play operation. it should take no more than 5 minutes to remove and reinstall an new card.
