Fully charged. Why doesn't it turn on?

The Kindle touch and the Kindle FIre are great devices for your reading needs. However, there are times when it becomes unresponsive and freezes on you. Amazon says it is because the battery isn't charged properly or does not have enough power on it. It is advisable to charge your battery first before trying to reset the Kindle touch/Fire. If theKindle still has issues, then try the steps below on how to reset your Kindle touch/fire. Please note that you may lose your data during the reset process, make sure you have made a backup of your files before proceding.

Hard and soft reset
Make sure the Kindle is turned ON.
Press the Power button for 20-30 seconds until it turns OFF.
Wait for it to reboot, if it doesn't press the power button to turn it ON.
Your kindle should be back to a responsive state.

The kindle won't turn on

It is possible that your Kindle Fire's battery has died. If you noticed the battery life diminishing before it wouldn't turn on at all this may be the case. Here is a site that has replacement batteries for the Kindle Fire:

Kindle not working. It will not turn on blank screen

Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. When charging the kindle 3 will have a yellow light indicating that it is charging. When this turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Make sure your kindle is fully charged and then try turning it back on.

My kindle has frozen

Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. Plug your kindle into the wall charger, a yellow light will light up. When the yellow light turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Then try turning on your device. If the device still does not turn on, hold the power switch for 15 seconds, this will reboot the device.

My kindle wi-fi is not working. I went to turn it on and the light came on but stayed at the screen saver screen.

Make sure that the kindle is fully charged. Plug your kindle into the wall charger, a yellow light will light up. When the yellow light turns green, your kindle is fully charged. Then try turning on your device. If the device still does not turn on, hold the power switch for 15 seconds, this will reboot the device.

The Kindle Fire will not turn on, correct? Let's try a hard reset.
Step 1: Unplug the device from the charger
Step 2: Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
Step 3: Release the power button, then press and release the power button normally, the Kindle should wake up
Step 4: If the Kindle does not wake up, find an alternate charger or go down to Radio Shack or Staples and get a new charger
Step 5: Plug in the new Charger to the Kindle for 12 hours when done leave the Kindle plugged into the charger
Step 6: While the Kindle is plugged into the charger, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Let the Kindle charge for another hour.
Step 7: Pickup the Kindle, press and release the power button normally, the Kindle should now wake up.
Step 8: If the Kindle does not respond, contact Amazon for a replacememnt
