No picture only sound.

And if not the LED panel lights it is the board that powers the lights or the inverter board.

I have an older Philips TV, model no. 47PFL5432D/37. When the power is turned on it takes a couple seconds then I here a "click" & the screen flashes then goes black but I get sound.

The main board is faulty. Contact any service technician.

Philips 52'' hdtv 1080p while watching it looses picture but still has sound

The back light inveterate board and CCFL lamps should be checked. Check and replace the faulty component. Back light inverter can only be replaced as card basis.

You may have bad 24vdc power supply or bad back light inverter boards.

Phillips 37PF73203 37 in Television goes straigt to Menu and stays

When I turn on my TV it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu screen. Very frustrated...need help!

Philips 170B lcd monitor

Crackling sounds are probably due to a couple of capacitors failing due to age, on the control board. (They can also "whine"). Should be easily replaceable by any experienced technician. Not a difficult job.

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
