First try a reboot if you haven't done so already. If you have done this, try uninstalling and then re-installing Outlook Express. To do this, click on START, then Control Panel and then ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS. On the left hand side, click ADD/REMOVE WINDOWS COMPONENTS. Scroll down the list and uncheck Outlook Express. Click next and let it uninstall. Now restart your computer and do the exact same thing as i mentioned above but just put a check next to it and then click next. It will install and you should be good.
Yes you also need to download on your laptop with all the same settings.
so check the account mail settings on desktop and make sure they are the same for laptop
