JVC GZ-MG130. Bright red dot on playback

I have a JVC GZ-MG130. On recording, a bright red dot appears on the screen. It disappears when aiming the camcorder at a bright subject, and reappears when pointed at something dark.

This red dot is recorded and appears on playback on my PC.

(The handbook seems to suggest that red dots can appear, but only on the screen and not on playback!)

There is a program i heard of halled trackercam but for somereason it doesnt work with my jvc, im not sure why.

Replacement screen

Does the resulting video or photos show the dots? Do some test shots and transfer them to computer to view. If the dots are not in the resulting images or videos, then the LCD is going bad but still usable. If the dots are in the images, it needs service repairs.

No you do not need a memory card to record. The JVC Everio GZ-MG130 is a hard disk drive camcorder with a built-in 30 gigabyte hard drive to record to. You can, however, use an SD memory card if you want to add additional space to save your videos and pictures to.

Hi, When I link my JVC up to my PC to download videos recorded. All the video files dont show up that are recorded on my camera on my PC. So at the moment, I have about 5 or 6 videos sitting on the memory...

When I flip out the screen to record I have a red dot on the LCD screen. It records on all of my video footage. What is this and hot do I get rid of it?

Return it to JVC for servicing. There is a fault in the CCD.

My JVC Everio GZ-MG135aa fell off of it's tripod stand and now the lcd is white on the right half and has bright lines on the other half (this is all it will show) If I hit record it still records and...

LCD panel needs replacing - this is the classic case of detached screen ribbon, which unfortunately is not repairable without silicon printing equipment which costs thousands. Also check playback on another device (ie streamed through your PC) to make sure the heads haven't become misaligned.

I have recently bought a JVC GZ-MG142EK camcorder and I have a problem with a blue dot, which also shows up during playback on a PC or TV screen. Please can you advise how to remove this dot.

You cant in a word
This seems to me to be a CCD fault.
Unless I misunderstand you and the blue dot signifies an action you should take- or is a 'Recording' signal although these are usually red.=Check the manual re this
I suggest you contact the makers support website prior to returning to vendor.

Linking to a dvd recorder

Connect your camera to the DVD using 3 prong RCA cable.
The DVD recorder has 3 composit (RCA) inputs. the input names are also the channels names therefor:
Front panel input: F-1
Rear panel Aux-1: L-1
Rear panel Aux-2: L-2
