You must create an alias to your movies folder in the iTunes folder and place it in your home movies folder.
so the path would be as follows if on a mac:
Macintosh HD/Users/your_user_name_here/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Movies
highlight it and make an alias by going to the file menu and selecting make alias.
now drag this alias folder into: Macintosh HD/Users/your_user_name_here/Movies
Restart AppleTV
That should do it

You have to add your videos into iTunes for them to be visible to the ATV.

Trying to activate bps.org and apple TV

Hi James

Not enough details
Plug the AppleTV HDMI cable in and connect it to your TV Screen.
Use the TV Screen remote control to select the screen "input" from the HDMI port you plugged in to.
Turn AppleTV on (plug in)
http://www.apple.com/appletv
The details should show on your tv screen if the correct hdmi input is chosen.
Use the tiny aluminum IR (IfraRed) control to enter details & control your AppleTV.
If you have an iPhone / iPad you can get the "Remote" App for free that is easier to use to set up the ATV.
AppleTV will want to connect to your home WiFi (Modem) Box that you get your internet from. You will need to know the WiFi Password to allow connection to home WiFi. This keeps the neighbours from connecting to your wireless internet.
You then Select the Language and enter your AppleID (e.g. email address & password) same as you use for your App Store for iPhone / iPad etc
Once connected to the internet the ATV will show all the streaming services that are available. Also if you have iTunes on your Mac Computer you can set up sharing and display selected photos as a slide presentation when the ATV is in standby.
There are many sites for troubleshooting ATV.. here is one

A New ATV is expected to be announced on 9 Sept 2015

Hope this Helps Someone.... if so Tik the box.

Bought Apple TV and when I try to access crackle it tells me to go to computer and activate enter p301 code still does not work could you please help with this. Thankyou

I haven't done it with Crackle, but I know for other services you go to the service's web site and follow their steps to activate a new device (your AppleTV). Then the website gives you a code that you need to enter on the AppleTV, which you can do from the remote or by pairing a bluetooth keyboard.

If you've already done this, and the issue is that the code is not recognized, I'd check that the AppleTV can access the internet (i.e. can it play trailers from the iTunes Store, Play other services, etc.?)

Good Luck!

I can't find my itunes on my desktop

Click start all programs navigate to iTunes right click select send to desktop to make short cut , or pin to task bar might be another option depending on your operating system.

or you might download iTunes and Quick time again.
Enter http://www.apple.com/itunes in your address bar or conduct a search for "iTunes download" to find the link. Click on the iTunes free download link. It is located on the right side of the page. This will take you to the main download page for iTunes software. Enter your email address and then click the box that is labeled "Download Now." This will bring up a box that asks if you would like to run or save the program. Click whichever you like, but by clicking "run," the process will start automatically. After the download is complete, click "run" again, as this will start the installation process. If you have opted to save the program first, locate it in the directory you have chosen and double-click on the iTunes setup program. Follow the installation prompts, including accepting the terms and conditions and indicating where you would like the directory to be created. Continue to follow the steps included with the setup assistant. This will allow you to customize the options, including assigning certain properties to files. You can play all your MP3s through the iTunes interface or set iTunes as your default audio player. Installing QuickTime Go to http://www.apple.com and click the "Downloads" item on the top menu bar. You will then have the option of installing QuickTime. This program allows you to watch streaming video on the Internet, as well as play other multimedia files, such as .AVI files. Click the "Download" button beneath the QuickTime logo. This action will take you to the main QuickTime download screen, where you will be prompted to enter your email address and continue on by clicking "Free Download Now." Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 from above to install QuickTime on your computer. Be sure to read the information in each box carefully and accept the terms and conditions of use. Tv shows on my ipod

Hi,
I think that when you down load the videos onto your ipod, you are using your iPod as a disk drive. They are on the drive just not where you can see them or view them.

When you do an import in iTunes, you tell iTunes where the videos are and tell iTunes to import the file or folder. You should be using the video tab in iTunes when you do an import. The videos should show up in your video list in iTunes. You then need to tell iTunes to sync your videos. You should then be able to see your shows on your iPod after the syncing is done. Hope that helps.

How to download the movies in Apple Ipod. There is any softward for this, please tell me about this?

Are you on Mac or PC? You can buy and purchase movies through iTunes. Video LAN Client (VLC) can also convert some video files to the .mp4 spec of H264 as well.

Apple Quicktime Pro ($30) can also export with settings directly for the iPod or AppleTV

Please explain further.

Your video must be at least 640 x 480 pixels in dimensions. Any larger I believe it will not transfer.
