There is a water leak inside the freezer

Hi !

Water dispenser and ice maker working just fine. I have a water leak inside the freezer, and at the bottom, there is a small pool of ice which I've thawed twice and it keeps building up. When it gets too high, constant dripping causes water to overflow to the outside of the fridge and there is eventually water on my floor, right outside the freezer door.

I've tried locating the water tubing hoses inside the fridge, with no luck. Can you help ?

I read about a similar case in your website last night, and I did just that... however - - - very dangerous using a hairdryer in such a wet environment ! but I must admit it worked perfectly.

After removing blocks of ice from on top of the trainpipe, and pouring hot water, it begun getting clogged again, so it must be blocked up. It's kind of tight for a tuerkey baster, but I will try to get a small flexible hose in there and then pour plenty of hot water to get it running again... Thanks a million for your tip !

Have similiar problem with model # FRS26ZTH. The whole bottom ices up. And the ice in the ice bin fuses togther. Now, just recently (after freezing up again) the fresh food side will not stay cold. Is this directly related to the clogging problem on the freezer side???

You need to remove the bottom two baskets, or more to make space. Using a hairdryer, defrost the back area. You should be able to locate a drain hole in the center below the freezer coils. This drain hole is connected on the outside to a drainpipe which has a p trap and often gets blocked up. You need to force water down the drain hole. You can use a turkey baster or similar type of plunger filled with water. Once you have cleared the blockage pour hot water till it runs freely. Hope this sorts your problem, don't forget to rate me.

I had the same exact problem with my Frigidaire side by side. The above soltion was excellent. However, I found that using a can of compressed air with the straw extension allowed me to feed down into the drain and blow out the last of the blockage.

My whirlpool gold ice dispenser leaks water and creates icicles inside, what could this be?

bad water valve or the ice maker is cracked,if the valve doesn't work correctly it can let to much water into the ice maker causing it to overflow or the ice maker has a crack in it and the water leaks out.

Ice maker makes ice but freezes before it can be dispensed so the dispenser is always clogged with frozen ice. Cleaned out the ice maker and started over but same results. The temp is set at 38 for the...

Hi, The freezer should be "0", the possible clogging you have could be a leaking water valve or an over filling ice maker. I would have the ice maker checked for volume of water dispenser during harvest, should be 5.5 oz. (2/3 cup), if more the 6 oz. the ice maker is bad. If fails to stop filling or leaks/drips, replace the water valve behind the unit.
I hope this helps.

Ice Maker leaks water inside the freezer

I see you said you looked and the water valve is off but the only that I know of this happening is a defective water control valve. Like a dripping faucet that when off slowly drips until the ice forms and then one the ice maker dumps ice and tries to refill the water goes in every direction. Unplug water valve to confirm what I am saying, Tell me if it continues to leak. Sea Breeze

Water dispenser inside fridge and ice maker in freezer part in bottom both quit working.

There can be many reasons for no water supply. Line feeding the refrigerator is clogged or blocked. The water control valve that turns water to ice maker and dispenser is defective or the water filter located inside your refrigerator is in need of change. I will be here to help you go through the steps. Let me know when you are ready, Thanks, Sea Breeze
