When you press power button red front lite turns green, blue screen with akai logo comes up on screen, then set shuts down and green lite turns back to red
I have a LCT2070 AKAI T.V. that will not stay on. When you press power the white srceen with the AKAI logo comes, and yu hear a staticy noise, then the TV goes off. i have one of these akai 27 inch with dvd, i had a similar issue i found a power supply at auction and exchanged it and it works fine now, normally with this symptom your power supply is fualty. if the light goes green and you have no picture then you know other boards are fualty

Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.
Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)
If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.
First turn your DS off.
While the DS is off, press A and B at the same time. While still holding, turn the DS on. Then when the Nintendo DS logo appears, press Start and Select at the same time, aswell as A and B. Hold those 4 buttons down for about 20-30 seconds. Then while STILL holding down those 4 buttons, turn the DS off. Turn it back on with no buttons pushed.
In about 95% of the time if the TV is not powering up, the power supply needs to be replace or repair. I've repaired a few hundreds ot these power supplies.

These TV's are prone to power supply failure. I can fix the power supply on this TV for approx $100 +s/h.... Contact me and all you have to do is remove the power supply and send it to me and I will repair it with high quality parts. Reinstall and you TV will be good as new...
Do you still have this TV?Sounds to me like a bad capacitor,or two.I just got done fixing an Akai LCT2660 that had four bad capacitors on the power board.Works perfect now.Hope this helps.Thank You very much!
