Hi, I recently bought your lllwoods timer to turn on and off one of my lamps. Question---My electrician set the timer, to turn on at 6 pm and go off at 2 am. He then set the time of day EDT. I do not want to change it's settings when we go back to EST. What time will it turn on and off? Respectfully. Toni

If you have the digital timer, generally you can toggle DST back-and-forth 1 hour by pushing two buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. And then reverse the setting again by pressing and holding both buttons again.
Open link. Download manual. Look for 'daylight savings time' in manual. Read instructions.
You can unplug timer to make programming changes, since the timer has a carryover feature against power outage.
To restore functionality of a timer that no longer works, press reset button and then reprogram.
The Woods 50000 series are new line of timer introduced just before Christmas 2012.
Woods timers are warranted by Coleman/ Carol Cable/ Canadian tire, and I suspect the timer itself is made by Intermatic.
All these timers have standard 1 year limited warranty against workmanship defects.
I have not seen any complaints about this line of timers here at fixya.

book says peg should be down for on and peg should be up for stop. How the hell does one pull the peg up...it is blocked and can only be pushed down...now what I am missing?
SOURCE: Problem programming timer settings. Is it supposed to be random or continuous?
1) Copy following link to identify timer and download possible manual:

2) How to set analog timers by experimenting with features:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-set-timers.html
3) 50001 timer is not random vacation timer like the 50003.
50000 series timers by Woods have 1 year limited warranty, and they are a new design released this year. However the analog timer design has been around for many years.
4) If timer is acting randomly, then
a) timer is defective,
b) the override switch is not fully positioned at 'timer on,'
c) segments are not lifted fully in position,
5) ... other more remote causes: outlet might not test 80% rated voltage?, outlet might have reversed polarity?
5) Try timer on different outlet with different light.
6) As the timer dial rotates, the segments push small lever, and the lever moves switch that turns lights on-off. I suppose if this lever was broken or switch was broken, then timer would act more randomly.
