My zen vision m 30 gig only comes on when plugged into the mains

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Creative Zen V Plus will not charge using an adapter

Install the software included with the Creative Zen V Plus. Many problems with the MP3 player can be resolved by installing or updating the software included with the device. Use the CD that came with the player to make the install, or log on the Creative Zen V Plus product page on the company website to download the latest firmware:

My mp3 player stays on all the time and i cant turn it off

  1. Check that the Creative Zen Touch has the most current version of the firmware driver. Firmware updates typically fix most common errors and problems encountered when using the Zen Touch. Turn on the MP3 player and select "System" in the home menu. Click "Information" then press "Settings." Select "About." Look for the internal firmware's version number listed under "Version." The most recent firmware is 2.01.00 and was released in 2006. If your software is outdated, download an update from the Creative support site: http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=100120
  2. Ensure that the song files you are trying to transfer to the Zen Touch are compatible with the player. On your computer, right click the song file to view its file format. The Zen Touch can play all unprotected WMAs, WAVs and MP3s. It does not support the popular protected AAC format that is used in online stores such as Apple iTunes.
  3. Verify that the Zen Touch's internal battery is fully charged. This may cause what appears to be a blank or dead screen, as well as slow responsiveness to your touch. Insert the power adapter brick connector into the Zen Touch's power port found on its right-hand top corner. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet to begin charging. The MP3 player will be finished charging in four hours. You may use the MP3 player while it is charging, but this may slow down the charging process.
  4. Adjust the screen contrast on the Zen Touch. This may resolve any issues you have with viewing the screen in bad lighting. From the main menu, click "Settings" and choose "Contrast." Slide your finger up or down the Zen Touch's touch pad to adjust the contrast to a suitable setting.

Really i don't know what the problem is. the creative doesn't charge and when it charges don't do anything

the player seems to need longer charging:
1. while player switched OFF: let it load on ac-adapter or USB-connection**** for about 1 hour, until the screen lights up.
2. still while player switched OFF: let it load another 2 to 3 hours
to get it fully charged.

**** notice: when using USB for charging:
1. Install the application software (from CD or Creative-download)
2. Preferred is a USB-connection at the backside of the computer
3. When more USB-connections are used, have the others disconnected: trying not to overload the USB-port power-consumption.

When I plug it in to charge the player, it says "docked" as usual, but then it turns itself off and acts like I've disconnected it. It says "Low Battery" and shuts down.

The zen need a full charge... if you have an ac adapter plug it in for at least eight hours. if you don't have an ac adapter plug it in via USB to a DESKTOP computer (not laptop) and try to use a differnt usb cord (creative doesn't always include a powerful enough cord to get the zen out of that low power state)

refer to creative.com/support and look up info on your model to see if anyone else has your issue
