SOURCE: Water leaking from the base of the unit.

Water leaking in the DGB-600 is mainly caused by heated water escaping from its proper path. There is a rubber grommet on the underside of the upper part of the coffeemaker. (It contacts the lid over the filter basket when the front door is closed.) The design in this area is very poor; the grommet does not seat properly in the fixed part of the coffeemaker, and heated water seeps out. Also, the heated water tube that comes up through the cold water reservoir is actually in 2 pieces. One goes inside of the other, but there is no seal. It is a loose enough fit that some steam escapes, condenses on the inside top surface of the coffeemaker, and then finds its way down to add to the leaking. I completely disassembled my coffeemaker (3 of the screws in the upper compartment are hidden under small circular plugs that look like they are part of the plastic surface), and used high temperature automotive RTV sealer to help the rubber grommet seal better, and to seal the 2-piece hot water tube. Works great now! But I must say that I have seen better engineering in childs' toys!

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC-2000 12-Cup Coffee Maker shuts off after brewing

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Grind & Brew not using all the water in the reservoir

I was having problems like this and then I read on a different string on this website that people have had success by flushing the system numerous times (sometimes up to six times) with vinegar. I took out the charcoal filter and flushed once with vinegar but only saw a small amount of improvement. I was out of vinegar so I used Lemishine mixed with water and it went from making one cup to making a full pot with one flush.

SOURCE: Cuisinart COD 4000 coffeemaker

Just a comment; most of the coffee maker failures are caused by the premature failure of a thermal fuse that is intended to prevent fire in case the main heater doesn't turn off as it should. Unfortunately, most of these parts come from China and are very poorly made so the point at which they 'protect' is pretty unpredictable, many of them failing at a much lower temperature than necessary. The second most common failure is the thermal switch that cycles the main heater element; these are bimetallic switches that grow 'tired' and the point at which they open and close again gets wider apart until it can take an hour for a 12-cup pot to finish brewing.

My cuisinart kcup coffee maker is filling the cup slow and not completely full. I cleaned with white vinegar several weeks ago . Do you have a suggestion

Doesn't brew a full cup.
Every once in a while an air bubble may get trapped in the water path. Lift off the reservoir, then put it back into place.
Turn off and unplug the brewer for 30 seconds or more. When you plug the brewer back in, be sure to turn the power back on.
The exit needle may be clogged (refer to "Cleaning & Maintenance" page 18).
Clean the K-Cup® holder brewing chamber (refer to "Cleaning & Maintenance"
page 18).
Make sure the water reservoir is properly in place, and perform a Rinse cycle.
De-scale the Brewer (refer to page 20).
If you have repeated the de-scale procedure two times and it is still only brewing a
partial cup, contact Customer Service at 1-800-726-0190.

Cuisinart brewer gauge stuck on full. Coffee on demand DCC-3000.

After repeated attempts to fix our Cuisinart coffeemaker gauge, I noticed a metal mechanism in a grooved area at the inside front of the coffeemaker. I was able to push it up and down, which caused the level indicator needle to go back and forth between empty and full. Determined that the hook at the front of the coffee reservoir matched up with this mechanism. There wasn't enough tension in the hook to depress the metal mechanism. Ordered part #DCC-3000CR for my coffemaker model through Cuisinart.com. Just installed the new coffee reservoir and the gauge now works!

Add water light comes on when it is full

Try using warmer water. At 113 degrees our 2.0 finally admitted that the reservoir did in fact have enough water to operate. I filled the reservoir half full of drinking water and then heated other water in a water kettle. Just before it boiled I began pouring it in the reservoir until the Max level. To my delight when I pushed the continue button this time it worked. Customer Service had said to use luke warm/ room temperature water. For our Keurig, the water needed to be at least 113 degrees. Hope this helps.

How do you adjust the water level

After the first brew the machine should brew excactly the amount of water added to the water reservoir. Since the reservoir always keep half full then you should add the maximum amount you need in two steps.

I want an espresso and it's not working...

Most of the time, you just have to reposition the water reservoir - simply pull it up and then put it back in its proper place. If the water tank is even a centimeter off, the suction tube doesn't properly grab it, so it can't take in water.

If you reposition the water tank, and the EM-100 is still not sucking any water out of the tank, there may be a problem with the water reservoir tank itself. Call Cuisinart - I can't remember the Canadian number off-hand (The EM-100C is a Canadian model, so I'm assuming you're in Canada) - and have them send you a new water tank.

Good luck! Let me know if you need any more help with this machine - I am a huge raving fan.

Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

I have the same problem with the exact same coffee maker I have tried pushing the 1-4 cups button. That worked for a couple weeks, now it is back to only brewing half the water in reservoir whether I push the 1-4 button or not. It is very annoying.
