Navman n401 plugged my n401 into the usb. It is now stuck on demo mode- it presents a lovely new route, but bears to relation to where I am at the moment or how fast I'm going. To get any sense out of it, I have to switch off, and then on again so that it connects with where I actually am. Lasts for a couple of seconds, and then back into demo mode

Demo is selected in settings / about menu.
Deselect demo mode from here.

1. Connect Navman GPS to PC via mini-USB cable.

2. Go to 'Start'

3. Go to 'My Computer'

4. Open the Navman Unit

5. Open the 'Navman' folder

6. Open the 'Database' folder

7. Delete the following file only - 'dababase.db'

8. Close the folders

9. Disconnect the mini-USB cable then restart the Navman GPS by sliding the switch to 'Restart' then back to 'On' after 10 seconds.

The database.db file will be generated automatically once the folder is closed.

• Try to check maybe the gps is in a DEMO mode try to deactivate the demo mode.

just discovered that the probleb with display mode is because the maps are no longer loaded? yet on pc the maps are present? anyone know how to sort this out?

Did you remember to move the tiny switch on the bottom from 0 to I ?

went through menu till option for config came up in menu group; about the 3 menu in from there option to turn-off shop demo program.
it would help if this was explained in the simple menu start card supplied
