SOURCE: I have an Emerson 1081

How old is the motor? Is it operating louder than normal as it runs indicating a bad bearing? Have you or can you check the incoming line voltage to ensure it is correct? If it is a new motor have you made sure the motor is set to the correct incoming line voltage? Has anything in the plumbing changed recently?

Hayward RS2000 suddenly stops. Motor housing is extremely hot and has a burnt smell. Thermal overload going bad?

it sounds like there may be a short in the pump. this will cause it to overheat and trip the thermal overload. it may be time for a new pump as this is usually cheaper than fixing it

Overheating hayward super pump

Superpumps have been a workhorse in the industry for decades. Your results are highly unusual. The motors that run these pumps have bee manufactured by Century/Magnetek and A.O. Smith for the past 20+ years. These same motors power the vast majority of pumps built by a wide range of pool pump manufacturers. (They are not Hayward specific)
You may want to get a second opinion from another electrician, or call out a pool pro to check out the installation to see what could be causing these frequent failures. This is WAY abnormal.

PUMP RUNS A FEW SECONDS THEN CLICKS OFF

Verify that your voltage is correct, then check your amps. It sounds like you have a short in the windings causing the motor to overheat. This usually mean replacement. (the repair would be almost as much as a new motor)

I had a new motor installed for the pool pump and it keeps blowing the breaker. The pump is a AO Smith SQ1102. We have a 20 AMP breaker dedicated to the motor. The pool comes on for about 30 minutes a

How long has it been since you have the new motor installed? Did it work after the job was completed? Very possible that the starter circuit has failed, usually when it comes on and runs but overheats and stops, the starter and run circuits are both engaged and that causes it to overheat. If you can read the wiring diagram on the motor and make sure it it correctly wired, you may save it if it is a simple loose wire. Otherwise it sounds like you will have to have whoever changed it come back and do a warranty repair.

Pump keeps clicking on and off

you may have a problem with supply power causing the motor to overheat and trip it's internal high limit. You could also be developing a short in the motor winding, however, you would probably be blowing the start/run capacitors if you have winding problems. Make sure the supply power is adequate, three horses require some heavy amperage.

Our pool pump keeps shutting down

the pump is not functioning correctly, it should run constant, and is only controlled by the switch. are you by any chance running this pump off of an extension cord, because that can cause this symptom. an large draw such as a pump compounded by the voltage drop of the cord can cause the motor to overheat and shut down sporatically.

Jacuzzi Magnum 1000 - overheating & looking for manual

Loosen the motor and impeller from the pump by backing off the large plastic nut and take that whole section to an electric motor repair shop for inspection. If the motor is salvagable, they can quote the repair or replacement.
