I am experiencing lots of problems with Yahoo mail lately. Getting lots of error 999, error code 17, 14,,,,,,,, you name it. Today I cant even open any email. I get signed out of yahoo messenger with a message saying that " You have been signed off because you signed in on a different computer or device!!!" Strange isn't it? May be someone has hacked my yahoo ID and Pw and is doing it at the same time I am. Certainly I am not signing in on two different devices. I tried the new Yahoo mail thinking that the problem may go away but got the error 999 saying: unable to perform the requested task = not being able to open new emails. Help please help. I got too many good emails and don't like switching to another service provider. By the way I have asked for help before but have only received the typical kind of automatic answer from yahoo data base. Please SOMEONE HELP. Thanks a zillion.
You can access your email here for now until Yahoo gets all the bugsout. They have been upgrading their servers lately, causing problemsfor all of us. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail Or: http://de.m.yahoo.com/p/mail It's basic, but it works. I used it last night when they were messing around with my compose screen.
Dear friend, I agree with you that yahoo has some errors and unknown problem with its fantastic number error like 999! but it's a little strange to have too many problems and errors.
About that Error in YM, maybe you hacked (as you said), according to your talking, I guess your computer infected by some viruses, and another problem is your OS maybe and also your network. I strongly suggest you to re-install your OS, and install a powerful anti virus, update it and scan your files on system.
And about Error 999:

◘ You can do a few things if you are impatient ( re cleanup computer, dump temp files etc) but this will not help error 999 the best option if you have a dynamic IP is to do a full "flick of the switch", and when you power back up you will come back with a new IP, ( with some turn off comp for 8 hours), but usually you get a new IP when you power up straight after the shutdown, you can continue posting the link under the new IP.
◘ Best quick fix >>>> login to your Yahoo! mail via an international server...http://world.yahoo.com/ and access your mail / ya / 360 /games from there by clicking the mail icon, stay within that browser. That, is the best temp fix for the system
◘ Also reply to Yahoo using the link they give you in that Error 999 page. I did it once or twice and I was free from the Error. It has been said that answering, voting too quickly may cause that Error. So give some gap of 2-3 mins between any two Questions you answer.
