Outlook Express is using incorrect dictionery

Outlook Express is using a French dictionery to check spelling prior to forwarding emails. I am using version 6 with Windows XP service pack 3.
If you go to Tools/Options/Spelling the only language available is French.
I have checked Microsoft word and it is still using the English version.

The problem appeared at the same time that I down loaded the trial version of Microsoft Office 2007. Possibly only a coincidence.

All settings for date time language and region are still correct. Language tab is still english. The problem only seems to be limited to out look express

Thank you for your suggestion, as indicated in my problem I have tried this and the only dictionery available is French.

Check to see if you regional and lanquage settings got changed. Go into control panel>select date, time, lanquage, regional settings. On lanquages tab see if it is still english.

I have an E Machine XP and my spell check is in French. How do I change the settings to have spell check come out in English?

Outlook express does not have an English spell checker by default. You can install this file from this website and for sure you will have an English spell checker installed on your Outlook software.

Outlook Express - I am trying to change the spell check from French to English?

You need to change the dictionary in office. You can do this under Tools in Word clicking on Spelling and grammar when the options box opens up choose dictionary language and select English. This shoud reset it for all your office programs as your default. However, If you what to change Outlook only, Open Outlook and select tools, Options, Spelling, spelling and autocorrection and custom dictionaries to make a selection

While sending the Mail from Out Look Express no Launge avaliable in Spell check is only French. English is not avaliable how to add English in spell check

Do you live in France, that French is enabled?
I don't have outlook myself, but like in MS word, there will probably be an option to select a language for speel checking. If English isn't in the list, I guess you'll need to download an English language pack.
If you have trouble finding it, let me know.

Spell check windows xp home edition

The spell checker usually comes fro Microsoft Office. If you do not have Office or you have Office 2007 you can download Spell Checker For OE 2.1 from the Microsoft site. My guess is you found the spellcecker in Outlook Express is in French. Spell Checker For OE 2.1 is not a Microsoft product but it works well for outlook Express and is free.

Outlook Express spell check

Outlook express does not have its own spell checker, it relies on the one installed with MS Office. Unfortunately the one that comes with Office 2007 is no longer compatible with Outlook. At present there is no solution except to install third party spell ckeck software.
