Hotpoint oven out, stovetop works fine

I have a Hotpoint RB790SHSA Electric Kitchen Range with ceramic top. I went to turn on the interior oven light (the oven/stove was not on at the time) and there was a flash and a pop from under the front panel. Now, all the oven displays are off but the stove top works fine. I'm thinking there must be an internal fuse or something that blew? can I fix that?

GE JS900 electric range stovetop works fine but no lights or clock on control panel so the oven cannot be turned on.

You will probably have to replace the main control board- the cooktop operates independently of the ovens, so your symptom is not uncommon... GE Range Stove Oven Oven Control Board WB27T10416

Maytag electric range model# MERH752CAS oven and stovetop stopped working.

Check the breakers. The range runs on 220v and one of the breakers may have tripped and it is running on 110v. Post back the results.

The beeping indicates to me that the clock has power to it and it's the problem and needs to be replaced. ya need model number to order part it usually can be found on rim around door or inside of the bottom storage drawer, when ordering parts its call by 4 names, all are the same part its either clock, eoc,oven control,or relay board

We have a ceramic top electric Frigidaire model GLEF378CCS. Neither the broil or bake elements work in the oven. Stovetop elements are fine.

check all wiring connections, if ok ohm out oven thermostat, if thermostat ok, ohm out oven elements and if ok, check voltage at oven elements. isolate problem.

Maytag ceramic top range

Try a warranty replacement first. Check with an appliance parts company for the price of a new top. Have the make and model number of your range ready. There are online appliance parts companies you can go to to see what the prices are. Just google "appliance parts" and you'll be overwhelmed with the choices you have. It's not the end of the world.
