You will need to replace the oven control on the unit. Here is that part to order.

All parts come with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Most likely the oven ignitor is bad or weak.  You can look at it and see how it compares to the broil ignitor.  If you see a whitish color on the ignitor and if it doesn't fully glow then it needs to be replaced.

You can look up your ge owners manual at ge.com . If the oven has stopped working chances are you have a bad ignitor. the part number is WB2X9154 . The part is $69.99 and I have this item in stock. Shipping will be $6.50 in the continental US>

SOURCE: The oven does not heat up on my GE Spectra XL44

Might be the bottom element is bad. Not too hard to install a new one.
I am no electrician but if you unplug the stove, remove the bottom element and use an ohm meter attatched to each end, it should show if the element is broken through lack of continuity.
Just an idea from a landlord.

Unable to locate where o re-light the bake burner on this spectra xl44 oven

Hello,

Your oven does not use a pilot light it has a electric igniter that comes on when the oven is turned on and that is the most common thing thats wrong with a gas oven when it doesn't heat ..that the electric igniter is defective

My spectra stove's oven is not working, the burners work, the broil works, but my oven will not heat up

Hi.

The JBP78 is electric, since you are talking about a gas oven I think the model is incorrect.

Talking about a gas ovens:

If the oven is not heating up and both broiling and baking burners are working and coming up then check the temperature probe sensor and the control board.

If one of the two burners is not firing check the ignitor, the burner and coil, the burner and flame sensor. The most common problems come from defective ignitor.

Our GE profile oven model JGsp31wet1ww oven will not heat up. When i set the oven to say 400 degrees, it just stays at 100 and never heats up. The broiler seems to work fine and the stove top gas burners...

pull out the racks and remove the bottom floor of the oven, turn it on bake,if the ignitor doesn't glow most likely it's bad,if it does glow and it doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the ignitor is bad.even though it glows doesn't mean it's good,it works by amps.it takes 3.2 amps.for a flat ignitor to open the gas valve and 2.5 amps for a round ignitor to open the gas valve.

We have a GE gas stove. The burners all ignite; the broiler lights up, but the oven does not heat up. Doesn't even start to heat up. Can homeowner repair this kind of problem? We don't have any money to...

If you just purchase it or it is still under warranty take it back it going to cost the same to repair. You also run the danger of creating an electrical fire.

Gas oven dosnt work

the pilot light is there for 2 purposes. number 1 to light the burner and number 2 to heat up the thermocouple, thermocouple is a wire that the flame from pilot suppose to surround by fire. if the pilot is to low it will not reach the thermocouple. you can take the gas line that supplies gas to the pilot and clean it with a safety pin or a small needle. you can test the thermocouple by heating it up with a blow torch on low heat, get it red hot and then turned on the oven. if the oven works clean the pilot, if the oven do not work, replace the thermocouple if separate from safety valve. if thermocouple is part of it replace the safety valve.

Stove top pilot light

I have a GE Gas Stove XL44 the stove top buners don't light by themselves without manual lighting. When I turn on the buner knob the buner doesn't click. Also I used my self- cleaning oven for the first time and stopped it before the time was up after that is when the stove top buners wouldn't light by theirselves.
