JMV8208 BAW Model 30" Jenn-Air Convection/Micro combo

Our Jenn-Air microwave went out. We tried a new fuse, nothing still. Is there a reset button somewhere? It's 8 years old, and 1 year, 1 month after we had it it went out. Someone came to fix it and pushed some sort of resest button, making it work again. About 1 year after that it happened again and I was able to push the reset. Now 6 years later cannot remember where the button is. Is there a manual for our microwave? Pacific Sales where we purchased it cannot help, they say they don't make them any longer. Help!!!! Jenn-Air JMV8208A 1100 Watts Microwave Oven will no longer heat. Display and all buttons work fine (timer, lights, vent, etc), but no heat. Light and turntable also work fine. Unit is an "over the range" model, and about 3 years old. Thank you!

Jennair combo micro wall oven 30" replace microwave?

When a microwave is dead, the most common causes are a blown fuse, or a blown thermostat / thermal cutout / TCO on the magnetron or on top of the oven cavity.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Accessing the oven cavity thermostat for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall and take off the outer cover.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Jenn-Air (Whirlpool) owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

Just wondering if I can use metal in my convection/microwave Jenn Air combo on the CONVECTION setting only.

On the convection setting it's just a regular fan oven, so you can safely use metal.

My JennAir M170 just quit working, nothing.........bought in 1998. Time for a new one? If so, how do I go about just getting the micro for the combo unit? Or do I have to buy an whole new combo unit?

I would at least have a service tech look at it. Here are the comon items to check most of the time when a microwave just quits. 1 the internal fuse. 2 the power diode 3 the large capacitor 4. door open / closed micro-switches 5 the magnetron. The least likely suspect is the control panel yet can also cause the problem. You should still be able to keep this unit in service cost effectively. Until I had it checked out I would not give up on it.

No power on Jenn-Air JMC 7000 ADB Microwave

It's either the fuse or the thermostat on the magnetron.

You can download the service manual here.

No power on Jenn-Air JMC 7000 ADB Microwave

I have a different Jenn-Air built in microwave & oven combination but I'm sure my solution will work for you as well.

My microwave was plugged into an outlet located on the top of the oven. This outlet has a "circuit breaker" that tripped while we were using the self cleaning feature on the oven. You just need to reset the breaker button right next to the wall oven outlet. Why it tripped is a mystery since the microwave was not in use at the time. Bad design.

Of course, getting to the reset button is your only challenge. You need to pull the microwave and oven out of the wall/cabinetry in order to get to it. The unit is heavy so you will need help. Or, call a certified repairman and they should be able to do this for you in 30 minutes or less so the service call should not run you more than @$85 if it is no longer under warranty.

I would also suggest you contact Jenn-Air to complain about this issue and seek reimbursement from them if necessary.
