Where is The Lid Swith Located In Avanty Washer

My first thought would be Shift Actuator.

There is likely to be a problem with either the lid solenoid/lock or the 'door/lid closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

you need to by pass lid swith under top console

YOU CAN BYPASS UNDER THE CONSOL 2 PLUG 1 IS POWER THE 2ND IS YOUR LID SWITH SPLICE WIRES LEAVE THE GREEN WIRE PLUG BACK TOGETHER

Check your lid switch. open and close the lid slow and listen for a click noise and if you do not here the click your lid switch is most likely bad.

To Replace the lid swith you will half to lift your consol and remove the clips & disconect the lid switch connector holding the front cab in place and remove the cab to properly replace the lid switch.

lid switch may be bad located on top housing at hinge side of lid if you know what youre doing you could jumper swith and see if it works unplug washer while electric contacts are exposed abd plug back in to test

check your lid switch. if your lid swith is bad, it will fill and agitate, but will not pump or spin. therefore it will not go into rinse cycle without being able to pump out water. some lid swithes control the agitation also (usually frigidaire and older maytags), but i doubt yours does. you can check the lid switch for continuity while opening and closing the lid with a meter

check the lid switch. if the machine is agitating and washing but won't spin it is probably the lid switch. this is the switch on the top front right of the machine with the lid open. you will see two phillip head screws holding it in place. easy fix is to unplug machine and take screws out of swith, clip wires and use wire nuts to connect another switch.

sounds llike a bad lid switch assy, not realizinf the lid is shut, for safety reasons wont run, can you hear any "click" just before the lid actually closes, it should be triggering the lid swith, if no t reppalce the lid switch assy, reall common issue

depends on how old.. but first Check lid swith for not spinning.. No hot water take hose off make sure you getting hot water to the washer... if water to washer.. water valve probley bad
