Motorola SD4581 2.4 GHz Digital Cordless Phone won't stop chirping

About every two minutes the phone base chirps. Replaced the batteries in the base, removed batteries, unplugged both power and phone cords, and it still won't be quiet. I'd hate to throw it out, but it's driving me nuts. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

How to register hs

It would help to have the model number of the base ( found on a sticker on the bottom of the base ) and the handset (under the battery) but the following works for many models: Press and hold the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp comes on. Press the
"#" key on the handset, then place it on the base... if it is going to work, in a minute or less it will chirp and announce "handset registered". If it shows "registration failed", the base may be "fully populated" and cannot accept another handset: many models are limited to only 5 handsets. To start over by clearing the base registry, press the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp
lights, then continue to hold "Find Handset" until "in use" begins to
blink. Release, then press again the "Find Handset" button for a moment. The base should chirp, and be ready to register handsets again... try again as above until the maximum is reached. Good luck!

My vetch phone shows "new voicemail". how do I delete this

To clear the "New Voicemail" display from the handset
is a slightly different procedure for each model of cordless
phone.

Try the following (tested on my own cs6229 phone):

press [menu]
scroll to "Clr voicemail"
press [select]
display reads "Turn Off Indicator?"
press [select]
phone will (chirp) press [off ]

Or, this one (tested on my own cs6114 phone):
press [menu]
scroll to "Settings"
press [select]
scroll to "Clr voicemail"
press [select]
display reads "Reset VM Icon?"
press [select]
phone will (chirp) press [off ] [off ]

Other models, check your manual. The model number
is on a small sticker under the battery in the handset --
enter this number at www.manualslib.com to get a free

Good luck!

My house lost power and when it came back, my phone is now chirping every 15 seconds. I lived hear for 2 years with this phone and always had the ringer set to off. Its never done this before. I do not...

The phone has lost contact with the base phone when the power was disrupted. so the best way to reset is to remove the power from the base phone - remove the adapter, remove the battery from the hand unit . Now reset and connect the power while it must MESH up. If not try to use the intercom call. If the phone does not mesh then there can be error in the base phone.
Please repeat this once again.

Did you recently replace you old phones with these phones? Maybe the old handset of the phones are interfering with them...remove batteries from old handsets, as they may be searching.

Uniden 2.4 GHz cordless phone won't register to base

Same happened to me. Unplug the base from power and the phone line for 30 minutes. Same for the handsets - all. Take out the batteries. Retry. After it says 'registration failed'. Leave it in the cradle. Several minutes later it found itself.

Phone is chirping

Most phones chirp.
1. Low battery........NEEDS a 12 hour or more charge from phone charger.
2. Loosing signal.
3. Electrical interference.
4. Some set communicate with the base for freqency signaling and change channels automatically when interference occurs. The chirp is to autonotify the user.

Most importantly, think about the situation when chirps occur and write it down. At some later date, compare your notes and you'll find your culprit.
Hope this is helpful.

Motorola MA357 Cordless phone

Make sure there are no other products that may be interfering with the use of the phone around the base. Move the base away from any other 2.4 GHz products, radios, video displays, television sets and personal computers. Other products that may cause interference are kitchen appliances, surge protectors and modems. See if the problem persists when locating the base in another room.
