My grandsons frient altered his password and can not remember it on his 7 inch android how can i remove it.please
After trying password for 5 times, it shows a "forgot password" option. Click on it. Provided the gmail id and password you first used to logn into your tab. It will remove the password from the device thus unlocking it.

With any Android 2.1 device you should be able to manage any account passwords through the Settings - Accounts menu (from the main screen, menu button, then go to settings, then to Accounts)

You might try to move the a/c adapter for that unit to an outlet across the room, or far away from anything with an antenna.
It sounds as if you have too many wifeless devices in your area. Do not forget the wireless phone you use around the house, not just your new Android smart phone.
