Sandisk microSD 2GB : well formatted on cellphone but...

Hi,
I'm having a Nokia 7210 Supernova and bought a Sandisk microSD card which is about 2gigs big.. I followed the instructions in the cellphone's manual and formatted the card on my cellphone, even renamed it. So it works fine on my cellphone.
The reason why I bought the card is to put music or pictures on it, so I plug the microSD card into the adapter and then into my pc but I can't access it.. It keeps showing up the 'Format'-window and wants to format it into FAT32, it doesn't matter if I click OK or not, I get another error : "Can't format this card" ...
Could it be that the adapter is broken?
thanks in advance

I believe so, I can make a new folder and copy some files into it on my phone.. But just can't access the card on my pc (winXP), when trying 2 access it keeps prompting to format the card, only have the choice to format as FAT32, and even when I click format FAT32 it still gives an error it can't format the card...

So I tried the card in another cellphone, the phone tells me the card isn't formatted, it asks if I want to format it?
I pick 'Yes', wait a sec or 5, everytime I do that I get an error message : "Formatting faile. Try again?"

What do I do? Get it back to the store?

I have the new Samsung Propel and my dad got me a 2G microSD Sandisk memory card - model # SDSDQ-2048-AB11MK. I put the microSD card into the Adapter it came with, went to the folder it showed up in, and tried to access the folders on it. When I did this my computer said the disk was not formatted and asked me if I wanted to format it now. I clicked "Yes" and it said "You do not have the sufficient rights to perform this operation." I just want to get my card formatted!! Does anyone know how to do this??? I also made a new folder on it just to see if that would work on my phone and i added music to it, but it didnt play on my phone because it wasnt in the right format. the users manual for my phone didnt help me at all. it just told me how to insert the card into my phone. HELP!

Its not the adaptor its the card hence it gives you the error means it can access it. is the card working 100% when you plug it back to the phone?

this is realy strange well the only explanation is probably the format the phone uses isnt ntfs or fat.

    1. try using another card with your pc and see if the same happens
this should determin if there is a problem with the adaptor "borrow a friends card, family or neighbor"

    2. format the card using a diffrent phone then use it on pc
