obviously the incorrect supply voltage for the tv
if however it is correct supply and tv power then take it back as faulty under warranty

Pl. check main fuse of your house any loose contact may fail your mains power supply,as there is heavy current drawn as you switch on TV set for few seconds.If the mains fuse is o.k than there may be direct shorting inside the TV set,call expert technician to rectify the same.

The tv power supply board is the problems and the causes.U have all the tools and understand basic electronic also can do basic soldering?The power supply board,that the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Searches the power supply board for dying and soon to be dead parts call capacitors.These dying capacitors parts are alway bulges or puffing up on it tops.By replacing all these dying capacitors,ur tv will power up right away and have picture quickly,no more taking up times,like several minutes to power up and have picture.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Read any information on the 240v to 12v adaptor. If the 12v is DC yes you can use the Battery direct. If it is 12ac no can do.

The power supply is starting to fail on your LCD. The noise you hear is because the circuit is trying to provide the proper power to the rest of the circuitry and is forcing itself.
The noise does increase if you tune to an HD channel because of more demand for power for a brighter picture.

First check if this happens in other external video source as well, like DVD/CD/VCR, etc. If it does, get the set replaced under warranty.

If it happens only with the Direct TV setup, try unplugging the set top box from both power supply and TV. Wait about a minute and reconnect. If the problem is rectified, the issue is with the setop box. Call Direct TV in this case.

My TV turns on and off constantly, it wont stay on for more than 2 secs. Please help.
