Firstly you could find the reason to this problem.
Check if the sound is mute.
Check if the sound card driver is outdated.
In most cases, the problem is causedy be the bad drivers. So reinstall or update the audio driver could solve this problem. The easiest way is to use a driver scan and download tool to check for. OSToto Driver Talent is the tool I use. You also have a try.

Check the MUTE setting has not been set on the speakers.
Check the Volume setting, move to a higher volume level.
Try re-installing the Audio driver.

Hi..my yoga 8 won't do anythin, turn on or off, just stuck. Did have Lenovo logo on screen, but now has Chinese writing in corner of screen. Can't find reset button and not sure what to try.

It looks like it's in the recovery mode but in Chinese.

Post what happens when you try to enter recovery mode yourself - How to Enter Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 Recovery Mode

Power off your device.
Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up and Power Button at the same time.
Release all buttons when the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
