If thhe ic has a crak that you can see then it is no good replace the ic If looks good then look real close where it is soluder ontothe board for little crakes in the soluder where the pins are. I would resolder the ic anyway becouse some thime you cannot see the crakes but the pins are loose. Now there is some capasistors in that cerit also that go bad.You would ned a capasistor checking machine to check these out of cerit. These capasistors that im talking about are usley black with writeing on the side like 10u 25 v this is not for the ones you have in your set just trying to let you know what im talking about. There is a pos and neg side to this kind of cap and they have to be put in just the way they are took out. Try resoludering the ic first then see what happens if it looks ok, if that does not fix it replace the ic and caps. This ic will be mounted to a heatsink by the way.

Why I have a thin line across the screen in my TV model Panasonic TC 21. After replacing the vertical IC the horizontal line across the screen reduced to few inches and not as it was earlier. vertica

First, You should to replace by original part, then you should check the voltages on power supply, and check the voltage for vertical IC based on datasheet, also check the voltages on vertical section including yoke and last you should check the ESR capacitors on vertical section.

My television, a jvc 21 inch shows only half-screen or at times just a bright line in the middle, what could be the problem and can it be fixed ?

Yes.This tv problems it is pretty easily repair,tv have a cold soldering in a vertical IC or around that area. But must have a soldering iron and a roll of solders and know and have some basic soldering skills.Take the tv aparts and turn it on take the plastic end of a screw driver tapping arond a vertical IC or around that area.Find out the vertical IC or around that area.Turn the tv off and resolders that vertical IC or that area, will solved this problems.Or take it to the tvs shops tell them the problems. If they're give u fairly priced for a job.Like about $25-$35 maxs.

Sir, can you help me, about my tv Model av-s21x1 jvc, problem is no light on picture tube. I measure supply voltage B+ at the flyback and also measure at horizontal transistor B+ is present, But at the...

Have you got horizontal drive?
There was a favourite quick repair on these TV's with that problem. The line driver coupling transformer had dry joints and in two cases the line oscillator/processor IC was poorly soldered and also one with the Xtal un soldered.
Hope that helps.

Horizontal line on screen

normally this is a problem with the vertical ic, take a close look at the soldering if your lucky you find hair cracks and re soldering will solve the problem.if that does not help , check the connections of the deflection unit or the condensers around the vertical ic.take care chassis is still dangerous if unplugged.
good luck

JVC AV-K21TR

The faint white lines at the top of the screen is the warning that the pump-up capacitor in the vertical output circuit is going bad and the output itself is about to short out. When the TV stops working, the vertical output IC has finally shorted out. Replacing the vertical output IC, the pump-up capacitor and possibly a small value resistor next to the flyback (B+ for the v-out) should bring the set back to life.
