Inside works fine and we had a 3 ton bryant outside. They said a 3 1/2 ton Goodman will work the the Bryant inside? Is this true?
No this is a bad combination. No matter what u do the volume of gas on the 3 1/2 ton condensor is more than a 3 ton air handler can handle. It may work but in the long run u will pay more for electric and the compressor will not last as long may tend to over heat and run at higher operatong psi
This is true as long as it is not a heat pump. Make sure they replace the piston (metering device to match the outdoor units required piston size. Or if the indoor coil is metered via TXV, it will automatically meter the refrigerant flow. If you are mismatching a system, make sure an acid test is performed on the old refrigerant and take appropriate measures with the new system if the test shows positive acid. They need to definitely install a liquid line drier.
SOURCE: do bryant condensing units have
Most Bryant units do not have a reset button but could have a low pressure or high pressure switch for a safety to protect the compressor. Verify power from the thermostat to the contactor by following the thermostat wires all the way to contactor inside of electrical compartment... TURN POWER OFF BEFORE OPENING.... If power is to contactor and contactor is pulled in then you would need to look at the capacitor of which is a canister about 6 inshes tall with wire terminals on top.. this part should be flat on the top and if it is rounded then thats your problem.. if not then contact a local company to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs.

IF it has one its usually but not always close to the 2 copper lines on the outdoor unit. BUT not all units have a high pressure reset. LOOK inside the outdoor section for a bare looking copper "wire", It will atach to the smaller copper line comming off thecompressor. If you dont see one it dosnt have one.
If you find it trace it down to the other end and usually has a piece simmlar to a battery sometimes no bigger than a golf ball and the button is usually pointed toward the outside on the other end.
2nd question as far as Im able to tell the fuses (and again it may not require fuses as long as it has a breaker or other means of protection) will be in a usually gr\ay box usually attached to the wall. Trace the wires comming into the unit back to the power source. And generally the box you find on the wall ois where the fuses are. Now this box is only a disconnect and its reason for being is so hyou can remove power from the oudoor section and work on it sepperately. IT MAY NOT HAVE FUSES AND STILL BE APPROPERATE FOR YOUR TYPE OF INSTALLATION as ameans f disconnecting.

Does the blower inside work. If so check breaker and float switch on Air handler. That is about as far as you can go without a service tech. Rus
