Grinding noise

Hi Anonymous

I trust you are well

If you hear a grinding noise it might be the gear wheel in the printer that is stripped or possibly a paper jam.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

2003 Avalanche drivers door window has grinding noise and wont go up, does the regulator need replaced or what?

Yes, it sounds like the regulator is at fault. The grinding noise sounds like a stripped gear. You will have to pull the inner door panel off to investigate.

My 6qt Kitchenaid stand mixer started making a grinding noise and beater bar keeps stopping. When I put it gently with my finger, it begins turning, only to stop again and make that grinding noise. It is...

They seem to have a plastic gear built in as protection for overloading (prob). When the machine counters to much resistance that gear will strip its teeth causing the machine to not be able to turn, that it what seems to be the grinding problem. If it is not the plastic gear then it another gear that is "stripped(of its "teeth") I hope your problem is not a severe, but if your mixer is "locked up" then at least you found the problem.

Grinding noise at startup paper jam indication (alarm flashes 3 times) no paper stuck in printer sounds like plastic gear is not meshing grinding sound occurs twice during powerup

definitely sounds like the drive gears are stripped, did it jam and someone pull paper out by hand this is major cause of stripped gears. generally fixing is not cost effective cheaper to buy new

Gears grinding with Brother Intellifax 4100

Does it only make the noise when printing. Do you hear the noise when sending out faxes? I have heard grinding noises onlt when using poor quality toner refills, or the fuser gear and or drive gear asm is stripped. First try a known good OEM toner.
