Front loader will only spin small loads

Cycle will run empty or with a couple pieces of clothes. With a reg load it will start for 5 minutes then stops and beeps one beep, silent for 3 sec interval and then 7 beeps. We have had to power off and try rinse and spin, a few pieces at a time.

I think i am wrong about the beeps, it beeps three quick beeps, pause and continues three beeps. If we wash empty it will run fine

The 7 beeps you are hearing should relate to a chart in your manual. This will help you narrow down the issue. Let me know what you find.

Testimonial: "We found the problem by trying to find out the answer to your question about the error code. We watched the light blinks 7 then a pause and then 1. The manual gave only an example but I replaced the example with the 7 and 1. And it was an F7E1. I Googled the code and it said motor drive fault. So decided to take a look at the motor. Took the back off and found the service manual in the washer with the codes. Also found a broken wire. Ordered a new wire harness and will o ly have to plug it in when it arrives. Thanks. "

I posted wrong the light flashes 7 times and then pause and then 1 time, or visa versa. The manual said that the error code is F7E1, but it does not give me the error just an example like F8E1 is a long fill. I looked on the internet but can't find the error codes for a Whirlpool washing machine model #WFW9050XW00. I did run the machine with no clothes and it runs fine. With clothes it will only turn in one direction. So it will turn clockwise, then sit for a minute and then run clockwise again. Empty it will rotate clockwise for 40 sec and then stop for 5 sec and then rotate counterclockwise. If i put a few clothes is, it will run fine. Repairman said that it should not matter if there are clothes or no clothes but it does.

Finally found the problem and the code. The papers were inside the washing machine, the error was the drive motor. We looked at the moter and one of the wires was broken. Ordered a new wire harness. Should be able to plug in when it gets here. Thanks for the help.

SOURCE: washer keeps beeping

HATE TO SAY IT BUT THE BOARD WOULD NEED REPLACEMENT.BEEPING NORMALLY INDICATES A FAULT CONDITION WHICH WOULD STOP THE CYCLE(WASH) OR THE COMPLETION OF A CYCLE.

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

SOURCE: Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

I've just bought a new Samsung front loader WF17902XE & it's very noisy and shakes during spin cycle. I've removed the shipping bolts, have it on a level surface, have made sure it's not overloaded.

you could try running empty to see if it still shakes.when loading put in some clothes then turn the drun half way and load more then run.this will help to balance the load

Is it normal for the washing machine to start and stop the spinning while the machine is in each cycle? Should it take over an hour to run one wash cycle?

Yes...they use less water...so they start, tumble, then cycle again adding more water. I use the fastest setting on all my clothes which is 1/2 hour. It also does start and stop during spinning to tumble the clothes. It speeds up as it goes thru each stop till it spins real fast. All my clothes wash perfectly on fastest cycle.

My LG Tromm front loader has an OE error message and isn't spinning. First received the message during a full load of laundry. Had to drain the water from the hose at the bottom and finally got it unlocked...

OE is normally down to blocked drain pipes, mcalpine (connection under the sink) or a blocked front filter. empty the machine and unscrew the filter behind the flap at the bottom right hand side, check for any obstructions, icoins, hair grips etc are normally blocking here

4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.

The washer bounces during spin cycle

Front loaders don't like small loads. There's not enough clothing to settle around to balance it. Only do large loads.

Adding clothes after wash started

It is best to finalise what clothes you want to wash, regarding front loaders. Or if you stop the machine, you have to wait for a couple of minutes for the door mechanism to release the lock, before u try the door. At times the door won't open for there is water in there; & if you force the door you'll damage the door assembly. So a lot of caution here!
