Realisticly, you would be cheaper to buy a seperate unit as the cost to intergrate a programme and function would be very costly, let alone the trouble you may have clashing with other features in the unit. Just an opinion, hope it helps. Good luck
The problem is that the panasonic cq-vd7003u does not support that function which sucks cuz i have one 2 the slightly newer verision PANASONIC CQ-VD7005U does have that feature. so sorry.
The security device was created to avoid you from watching DVD's while driving. It is simple to bypass. Simply take the parking brake wire (blue/yellow stripe wire) and connect it to the a ground wire (all black wire). This will trick the DVD player into thinking that the car is in park with the parking brake on at all times.
During code request mode PRESS AND HOLD SKIP UP >>/ SWITCH for approx 20 sec,you will see **** on the screen.
That will clear the code.

Connect the light blue parking brake wire coming out of the back of the radio to the black ground wire also out of the radio to the black ground wire on the wiring harness.... Basically just ground the parking brake wire.. Itll work, I promise. I have the 7001u.
