Try to uninstall the driver of the wireless adapter to the computer.

Install the latest driver of the adapter first before installing the adapter.

Check the lights of the adapter (if red not connected, if green it means that the adapter is communicating, however if there's no lights on the adapter it is a compatibility issue or the card is not working properly)

I down graded from vista to xp cant install drivers

Hello,

As for your problem Toshiba is not did not bother creating a Windows XP compatible drivers for the Model L500-018 as it is their high end Notebook for the year 2007 and discontinued it on 2009. what you can is to upgrade from Windows Vista Home to Vista Premium for more functionality and XP compatibility or upgrade to much better Windows 7 as the Vista drivers are accepted by windows 7 OS.

Hope this helps.

Marvell yukon ethernet shows with yellow exclamation mark and will not allow me to connect to internet

The driver should be on the motherboard disc or the one supplied by your ISP internet service supplier
make very sure all leads are plugged into their specific connection plugs you might have to connect the usb lead to your modem to get a connection then
click start control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll to network adapters could see a yellow question mark? right click install drivers
hope this helps if you cant find the driver hopefully one of these will help you

Need help finding vista driver for asus p4p800 motherboard.. this is for the network port...

You have a 3Com 3C940 network interface if it is a p4p800,if it is p4p800 E Deluxe you have a Marvel 88E8001 network interface.Unfortunately, 3com doesn't have a driver for that model for vista and asus doesn't offer support for that motherboard anymore. In still may be possible to work with the xp driver that came with your cd or at their downloat page for that model
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=DYt1Et9MlBChqzLb
and installed manually (control panel>system>device manager) select there the network adapter (probably seen as unknown device) and right click on it > properties and update driver > browse and select the folder where the driver is(must be unzipped) you'll need to select the OEMSETUP.INF or EL2000x.inf and next. A lot of win xp drivers worked for me in that way for win 7 and also any driver that doesn't have an installer.
However if you have an E Deluxe marvell has win vista and 7 drivers at

Hope that helps !

Platform: Sony VGN-BZ569P (vgn-560 series) Docking Station: Sony VGP-VRBZ1 OS: XP-SP3 Problem: When docked, there is no network connectivity through the docking station's Ethernet port. Device...

The problem is definitely not with your docking station. Its the ethernet controller that is faulty. Possible reasons can be incorrect driver or device failure(not very unusual).
You said that you "have tried to install drivers from Marvell but no luck". This most likely indicates the device(ethernet controller) failure. Anyways try to download the drivers from the link below and give it one more shot.
If it still doesn't work a new ethernet controller card should do the trick. Considering the fact that you can get a good one from brands like D-link, Realtek etc., for about 25$ it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Hope this helps,
Sai.

I cant type

Try reinstalling the drivers otherwise its a malware infection or busted keyboard. Do you have another keyboard that works off of usb? Try using that to see if its a malware issue.

To check to see if the drivers are bad, go to device manager (control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager) and check for any ? or ! or X next to the keyboard section.

Networking/Motherboard- does not recognize networking devices

Can't WinXP find appropriate driver for your lan card? If Asus did not provide a driver for its built-in lan, i think windows XP already has the driver built in its cache. try to install it using the wiz.
