Ac expansion valve replace kia 2005

To replace the expansion valve you need to evacuate the refrigerant first. Then you can replace the valve. After that you have to evacuate the system again to remove the air. Then add replacement oil and recharge. You'll need an evacuation/recovery machine, a vacuum pump and a refrigerant scale to do this job yourself.

Do you have to take the dash out of a 2003 Mitsubishi Monterey sport to change the expansion valve

Major dash disassemble required . 6 hours work plus evacuation and recharging of the refrigerant. More important you need special equipment and gauges to evacuate refrigerant, store it, check the system for leaks and recharge the system, if not done correctly you can contaminate or damage the whole system

I have a Lg Multi v heat pump. we had a freon leak, evacuated system and recharged but now can't get any heat or cool out of it. It runs continuously and shows no codes. pipe is really hot ne

I'm a retired and certified HVAC&R Technician. You only indicate that you "evacuated the system and recharged it." If that is all you did, then you have problems. Where was the Freon leak? What was done to repair the Freon leak? When you evacuated the system, did you then pull it down to 28 inches of vacuum? If so, did you ensure it held 28 inches of vacuum for a minimum of 30 minutes? Then, did you charge the system with 250 psi of Nitrogen and ensure it held for 30 minutes? If so, did you then release the Nitrogen and pull another 28 inches of vacuum prior to filling the system with Freon? These are the steps I used EACH AND EVERY TIME I EVACUATED A SYSTEM; and I only had a problem ONCE where the copper tubing got extremely HOT and the system would not HEAT or COOL. Found out the reversing valve was stuck half way. Had to replace the reversing valve. Good luck.

Leaking a/c low pressure valve

This is illegal as you are not allowed to release any type of refrigerant in the open atmosphere. If it has all leaked out and the system is 100% empty, you should be able to replace the valve and charge the system. If you depress the schrader valve and it is pressureized, you will have to have the system evacuated
Keep in mind there is a system to charging it and you will want ot make sure you are doing it correctly for your vehicle.

How to evacuate system after installing air conditioner air handler?

The service valves are closed. Therfore once you solder to the stubs on the valves your gauges will read what is in the line set and evaporator coil. Pressure test to 150 and let sit. If determined your pressures held then evacuate with vacuum pump. You are evacuating the line set and evap coil only because your service valves are closed. THIS IS THE PROPER WAY TO DO THIS. Once evacuated to 500 microns, close manifold and open valves. You will then see your refrigerant charge and determine if more refrigerant is needed. Good Luck !!

Ac drainline 2002 toyota camry

Hi Andreas, The valves for evacuation and refilling the ac are the same. To drain the system an evacuation pump should be connected to the low pressure and high pressure valves. The valves are situated in the engine compartment, the high pressure has a red valve cover and the low pressure black. You will easily find the valves by looking along the air conditioning plumbing. Where is the high pressure connection for the air conditioner

hi! there,
usually located on high side or discharge presure of the compresor, the discharge service valve fitting equiped w/ cup and pin auto valve ,loosen and remove service cap of service valve fitting,.as you remove the service cap no leak should take place due to it has a pin to locked the pressure on the sysrem . the guage manifold has a host and service port at the end of the host, the sevice port has a tip ball inside port when you connect your pressure guage manifold to test the discharge pressure the tip ball of port will push the pin valve service fitting and opening occued on discharge service valve and the pressure gauge activated and you can the operating discharge pressure.

in your case opening of cap then leakage appear maybe the pin valve was mis aligned or distorted, the service valve was repairable it can repair, but you have to evacuate all freon inside the
system.freon leakage is bad for our environment
use evacuating pump and service tank, after the freon evacuated repair service valve there is pin remover to pull out pin valve sometime cup has pin remover or ask on car air service center.the pin valve has screw type spring attachment replace pin valve and recharge the system you can use the previuos freon on service tank evacuated.
