The issue with the oven display light and the oven light on the KitchenAid Stove KERS205TSS 2 may be related. The problem with the oven display light could be due to a faulty control board or a malfunctioning light switch. The control board may need to be replaced if it is not sending a continuous signal to keep the light on. On the other hand, if the light switch is defective, it may not be able to maintain a connection to keep the light on.
The issue with the oven light staying on could also be due to a faulty light switch. If the switch is stuck in the "on" position, it will not turn off even when the door is closed. This can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely and waste energy. To fix this issue, you may need to replace the light switch.
It is possible that both issues are related and caused by a malfunctioning control board. If this is the case, replacing the control board should fix both problems.
To fix these issues, it is recommended to contact a certified technician or an authorized service center for KitchenAid appliances. They will have the expertise and tools necessary to diagnose and repair the stove safely and effectively.

Range/Stove/Oven Repair - Replacing the Clock Timer (Frigidaire Part .... My timer still works fine, but ...
it sounds like the heat escaping from the door damaged the electronic control board part number 8186393 and sears has it for 200 dollars.the way the door was left open was directing the heat right at the computer board and you sholud never use the stove for heating the room or things like this happen
ran the SCC and the oven door unlocked when completed but the touchpad did not. Can;t use over at all, top of stove works fine. None of the bottons for the oven works. still says self clean completed, will not go away, can't use oven at all.
you most likely have a bad oven ignitor...if you see an orange glow under the oven panel that is your ignitor trying to come on....but if it is weak it will not open the gas valve.....acess the ignitor and replace it
Above glass in the oven door , there is a couple of vent holes. Using flashlight, somewhere in the middle you can see the locking bar in the lock position. I just helped it with small screwdriver to unlock and all was fine for a long time.. Now I'm searching why the oven quit ,but broil still working. No error displayed and no problem when going thru the selfdiagnostics . Any ideas ?. Darn thing.
